In my opinion you are required to be a conference champion to be able to play for the national championship! OSU lost to a bowl eligible team in 2OT in a location that is very hard to play (ISU and Ames, IA), OSU has played and beat more Top 25 teams than Bama and OSU has a better strengh of schedule compared to Bama. So, it should be LSU v OSU - enough said!

The worst part is that people on this last VML was affected by the lowering of crew ratios. So because of that, people are going back to white jets/ALO/RPAs after only one year back in their MWS after the TX because all the fighter squadrons are "over manned". Now with this new memo and proposal, they want to raise the crew ratios again, thus making the fighter squadrons under manned and needing experienced fighter pilots and of course, those experienced fighter pilots are the the ones going back to another ALPHA tour. It's been said before but if the Air Force was a Fortune 500 company, all the bosses would have been fired long ago because of incompetency and this is just another example of that!

A-10 crew ratio will increase? WTF?!?!? The A-10 crew ratio as of 01 October just decreased all across ACC.

So you are saying that somebody like me, who is 6'2'' and 235 lbs with a 38 inch waist and good health should be equally compared to somebody who is 5'4'' and 150 lbs with a 32 inch waist? The reason I ask is because with today's Air Force PFT, we are equally compared and the other person will 9 times of out 10 score a better score than me just because of his waist measurement. To me that is complete BS! I am fine with the Air Force standards of testing 2 times a year but please get rid of the damn waist measurement!!

Anybody have information on local lakes near Columbus? I have a 28 foot Mach 1 performance boat that I have been using on Lake of the Ozarks and Tablerock and I want to continue using it in MS. Is there a lake large enough to support my boat or do I have to travel south to the Gulf or north to Pickwick Lake on the TN River to run it? How is the Verizon service in the area? Where are the good places to live (on base, off base, etc...) I am an O-4, married with one kid starting Kindergarten next year, so location for schools, jobs, etc... are a must. Thanks...

The answer of course is: it depends. If you are coming off of a 1 year remote OCONUS to CONUS assignment, then it is 1 year. That changes though in regards to remote assignment vs command sponsored assignment. So, can anybody answer these questions? Who was the pilot? How did he/she crash? What squadron was the pilot in? Where exactly did the jet crash at? Were there any outside influences that caused the crash?

You know that is not our job anymore in today's Air Force. Our jobs today are to be the Wing Combined Federal Campaign Officer or the Group Christmas Party planner. Flying and studying all flying related materials are now extra duties we accomplish when we have spare time from our primary queep duties!

This email officially shows that most people at the Deid don't even know there is a war still going on that they are supposed to be there supporting. They just think they get to go to the desert, get "combat" pay and tax free pay, check a container for a deployment and possibly get a short tour and that is about it. The rest of their time is spent drinking their 3 beers a day, suntanning at the pool, working on their masters, bachelors, PME and PLAYING soldier. It is time to start bringing people home from the Deid and giving them real jobs throughout the AF!

Switching to a T-38 is not considered a cross-flow so the only way you will go past your initial ADSC is due to the PCS and not the T-38 training itself. I just finished a TX-2 course this past January where I signed the RIP stating that I will owe 36 months after the completion of the training. However, b/c of the regulation, my initial ADSC date is still what I have showing June 2012 and not the 36 months that the RIP showed. I was also told by the porch that if I go to another white jet after this assignment that even that training will not take me past my original ADSC from UPT and the only extra committment I will have is from the PCS.

The Developmental Vector is a joke in my opinion! Mine told me over a year ago that my vector was ALO and needless to say, I am not currently an ALO but still flying. Also, the current unwritten fighter porch rule is that they will not non-vul you to an ALO if you were a previous BALO and I never plan on volunteering to be an ALO, granted that unwritten rule can change tomorrow...
