    Gun Talk

Wow, kettle meet black. For not being a fan of personnel attacks you sure did call "fights on" early in this post.
  2. Palmdale is GTG (or was 2 years ago).
  3. Shoot me now if I get stop lossed!
  4. If you can't tell, I really like this website!!! www.rock103.com
  5. Wow is all I have to say!
  6. Just left Whiteman as a T-38 ACE IP. Anybody interested in the B-2 and wanting info needs to contact the 394th Combat Training Squadron for information. All the applications goes to that squadron for review before going to the board. PM me if you want the phone number.
  7. Sounds to me that she was denied access with her child in the carseat while in the parents room where there is workout equipment and a play area. If you can't take an infant in this area, where can you then? Why even have this room in the first place where parents can take there childen to work out? My wife takes our 3 year old to the gym all the time where she works out in the parents room while my son plays in the play area and there are childen still in carseats always in there also with their parents. There are no 45lb plates in that room, along with no squat rack. So, to be denied access to that room with her infant child is crazy in my opinion and I would want to see that base sup to the AFI stating that rule.

  9. So, it seems the Captain's promotion board is going to be just like the Major's promotion board; as long as you meet 2 of the next 3 (breathing, no DUI's and haven't had sex with an enlisted chick) you will be promoted!
  10. Quick question: I'm on my way to Osan unaccompanied and want to live off base. Currently the dorm manning is about 80% and to automatically be granted off base housing, the dorm manning must be above 90%. Well, the problem is that my wife and kid will be visiting a great deal while I am there, so I need to live off base. The question is: what is the reg that the dorm management office at Osan follows? I want to have read the reg so that when I go in to get off base clearance, I know what I am talking about, thanks.
  11. I always loved reporting the point "Squaw Tits" over the radio when flying at DM.

  13. So, what happens if a person fails their PT test while deployed? Do they get a 2nd chance 1 month later? Do they get sent home b/c you must have a passing PT test to even be in a deployed theater? Is it all swept under the rug b/c certain squadrons manning is already so low that they can't afford to lose anybody? This should be interesting. On another note, I also agree that the waist measurement is a crock of sh*t! I can max out my push-up, sit-ups and run a 10:30 mile and half but have a natural 40 inch waist. So, I have to almost starve myself right before the test and do other drastic measures to get down to a 39 inch waist and pass on every PT test. Then you have the airmen who are sticks with no muscle at all who barely pass the push-ups, barely pass the sit-ups, run a 12:00-14:30 mile and half but since they max out the waist measurement, they get a better score than me! TOTAL CRAP!!!! I do like the Army version; push-ups, sit-ups and a 2 mile run - twice a year and at any time the CC can make a person test b/c he/she thinks they are out of shape and fat. If it works for them, it should also work for us.

    A-10 Breitling

That was just a pic I found from Google with the A-10 patch on it. Thanks for the info though, I like almost any of the Breitlings, so both the Airwolf and Aerospace models would work also. Any Hawg Drivers know of an upcoming order?
  16. This is for all the Hawg pilots on the Forum. Are there plans for an order anytime soon for the Breitlings with the A-10 patch in it? I heard rumors that Moody was putting together an order but haven't heard anything past that. So, if there is, let me know b/c I am interested in purchasing one. Thanks.
  17. I had a student get a ticket when I was a Flt/CC at Vance for going against the arrows in the Commissary parking lot. His actual ticket said going "driving opposite direction on a one-way street". Now, I don't know about you, but I didn't realize that a parking lot was a street and then getting a ticket for doing that was even possible. The good thing though is that I took it to the Sqd/CC who called bullshit and we got the ticket taken away and the SFS got an ear full from Ops leadership. Thank God we had leaders with some balls there!
  18. I have sold 2 home by using Militarybyowner.com (first one at Pope, second one at Vance) and plan on using it again this coming Spring. Just upgrade your package to the hightest priced one (around $75.00 I believe) and that gives you plenty of photos, plenty of writing capability, 6 months of selling and they send you 2 signs for the road and yard. That is where I have had my luck.
  19. I have these type of flying boot and I just don't put the zippers in them. Lace them up like a normal pair and it works just fine.

  21. Is there another website this picture/video/etc... is on? It is blocked over here at Bagram and I really want to see what it is!!!!! Thanks.

After retirement from military service in 1992, Colonel Bob Howard was employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs. He retired in January 2006 after 52 years of government service. Medal of Honor Citation: For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. 1st Lt. Howard (then SFC.), distinguished himself while serving as platoon sergeant of an American-Vietnamese platoon which was on a mission to rescue a missing American soldier in enemy controlled territory in the Republic of Vietnam. The platoon had left its helicopter landing zone and was moving out on its mission when it was attacked by an estimated 2-company force. During the initial engagement, 1st Lt. Howard was wounded and his weapon destroyed by a grenade explosion. 1st Lt. Howard saw his platoon leader had been wounded seriously and was exposed to fire. Although unable to walk, and weaponless, 1st Lt. Howard unhesitatingly crawled through a hail of fire to retrieve his wounded leader. As 1st Lt. Howard was administering first aid and removing the officer's equipment, an enemy bullet struck 1 of the ammunition pouches on the lieutenant's belt, detonating several magazines of ammunition. 1st Lt. Howard momentarily sought cover and then realizing that he must rejoin the platoon, which had been disorganized by the enemy attack, he again began dragging the seriously wounded officer toward the platoon area. Through his outstanding example of indomitable courage and bravery, 1st Lt. Howard was able to rally the platoon into an organized defense force. With complete disregard for his safety, 1st Lt. Howard crawled from position to position, administering first aid to the wounded, giving encouragement to the defenders and directing their fire on the encircling enemy. For 3 1/2 hours 1st Lt. Howard's small force and supporting aircraft successfully repulsed enemy attacks and finally were in sufficient control to permit the landing of rescue helicopters. 1st Lt. Howard personally supervised the loading of his men and did not leave the bullet-swept landing zone until all were aboard safely. 1st Lt. Howard's gallantry in action, his complete devotion to the welfare of his men at the risk of his life were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit on himself, his unit, and the U.S. Army.
