    I am gonna email him, and let him know that as a real pilot, whenever I am in a strange Baseops, I use baseops.net for my weather, notams, etc. Geesh, I dont even remember the direct website for notams. All I know is baseops.net, and same with everyone else in my Guard unit (that is fairly SNAP free) I would suggest the Guard to all non-SNAP types. Kinz

    Ya. I got a buddy that was burned by this (one of the guard guys) and so folks like that are the victims. The top of the problem (IP and initial chick student) should be the ones in trouble, not all the others who did what we all would do.

    Dude, honestly...what is happening to our AF? Does anyone have any theories as to why the gay factor has increased so much? Can you imagine telling the AF brothers 40 years ago about the AF today...what would they think? I mean....Lordy

    I fly more in the Guard than my AD counterparts, from what I have seen.

    i actually am gonna get killed for this, but I think the new concept of uniforms are actually not bad, except that we are ripping off the marine corps. We do need to get a uniform and stick with it though, and if they change the airline pilot business suit I wouldnt be upset. AND they need to make it so no one can wear the damn short sleeve blue shirt with a tie. Wow. Kinz

    KC 135 Qual is now 19 weeks. Plus you have your survivals, and mission qual at the unit.

    I keep them in the little arm pocket only because I would lose them otherwise. I know a dude that wears them on the outside of his flight suit down the zipper labia so you can see the chain but not the dog tag. many of us have informed him that this practice is in fact homosexual. However, he has not changed that.

    I just got to my unit on seasoning days, orders just extended from UPT (i.e. not new orders) and i am receiving TYPE II Bah now. Any one else have this problem? I hate that!

    I had no instrument knowledge before upt, and it took me about a week to catch up to my peers with ratings. Therefore, I would have been pissed if I spent that money. The AF pilot program is designed to teach a basic person to fly, so, you learn everything you need to know. Plus flying a 172 in weather is completely different than a fast ass T-1, 38, or T-6. Its much slower in the old 172!

    By far, I think Enid is better than the other pilot training bases (ya except Navy stuff and moody). Enid has the most people of any town in pilot training, and if you discover Gary Chicaros, you are all set! K
