DUDE WHAT???? NO!!! Be nice, but they should do their job regardless if you have foreplay with them or not! Good lord. Imagine this: "Hey be really nice to Capt. Flypants, he has to take you to the desert, and he wont fly you there if you are a meanie head. Make him feel as if flying you there would be a good thing" Thats our problem, we arent making things happen cuz we think we just weren't nice enough. Bender, punch yourself once please for the above comment.

I am gonna sound like a dork for a moment: I am reading Newt Gingrich's new book, and he discusses the disaster of government bureaucracies, and how they are more focused on self preservation than on serving their purpose. Case in point: the civilian and pentagon influence and ineptness in Iraq post major hostilities. I worked for a business after college for a few years, and despite traveling with it, etc, never had a pay issue. Visa can authenticate a valid or invalid transaction or give you money through an ATM in about 5 seconds, but our government is unable to tell if someone is illegally in the country, etc. Finance and other organizations are a microcosm of that bureaucracy problem. They are more interested in self preservation and self protection than accomplishing a "mission." This issue goes beyond just being inconvenient, its complete and utter government waste. I have caught close to 3000 dollars in mistakes in pay in just four or five years.

No kidding. I dont need to know how to make them though, just how to post them on here. Thanks!

Hey, you all are gonna hate me, but how do I post one of these posters on here? I dont know what to do, Im lost, and alone. Thanks

Airman "Thug" talks sh!t to a 3-star at Osan, gets owned.
Stiffler replied to Ram's topic in Squadron Bar
Ya, lets stop focusing on the retarded stuff, and focus on stuff like this that legitimately affects order and good discipline in our uniform. -
Speaking of.... Im here in West Virginia for an AFSOC FTU, and was listening to the radio and heard "West Virginia's coal industry is protecting america through energy.....blah blah blah...." Finished with "This is retired Air Force general (Name unspoken) saying thanks to the west virginia coal miners..." Is he gonna run for senate or something? I also saw a billboard encouraging people to brush at least twice daily. If Im lying, may lightning strike me dead. Still here

I dont think they look too bad, but why are we changing again? Next change should be to return all uniforms to those worn by the Army Air Corps in WWII. End of story. New boots are just as gay as aids.

Well said M2. People fight. Deal with it. We arent in gradeschool anymore. hell, even in grade school, all you got was a detention. Its insane. Just insane. And for the person on here who used the fight example as a reasonable reason why they give breathalyzers, etc, I hope i never fall under your command. Geesh. Relax everyone, and Ill pour y'all the first Caffrey's.
-
Can you flipping imagine it. Breathalyzer at the died? Amazing. CMSGT Stupidpenis: "What, no alcohol related incidents in MONTHS??? Bring out the breathalyzer!" Airman Retardedface: "Oh ya! Ive always wanted to use this on an officer and feel more powerful (STS)" (STS mine) General Gaypantshead "Thats a great idea, we dont want people enjoying themselves in WAR!! Lets have another ATSO" I am personally so disguisted that I cant express my disguist in words. The sad and un-understandable thing is, someday one of you all reading this and agreeing with this post, will be in command, and you will change nothing. Because you want to be an 0-6
-
Ya that was a booze fueled response, but ill leave it instead of "editing it for shame." If its a supply issue thats cool, the Died actually isnt too bad compared to other places (Manas). I just do get set off pretty quickly with new anti-alcohol rules. It seems that active duty base wide, its just getting more and more ridiculous, to include DIGIT-CON...or whatever, which is the new "CON" based on alcohol related incidents. I dont know what happened to letting "adults be adults." There is a cost, but thats the cost of freedom. IMHO. Sorry if i offended anyone. My response was definately a bit much

Im sick of that. The old "It could be worse!" That is the lamest excuse They take a beer away "Well at least you have TWO beers!" They take away another "Well at least you have ONE beer!" Then they take the last one "Well, at least you arent getting mortars!" Its all gay! WAY UBER GAY. Why cant they have too much beer, and ADD one! Why? because its run by a bunch of active duty D-bags

M2, In fact, yes, he did say "prudent" which we in fact agreed was gay as hell. I just went to the patch store and told them that I wanted "adult" patches made. They were four bucks a piece, and I got two. I may order more and sell them at cost, someone has to make the point!

My crew and I definately pushed it in our last died trip (got back 3 days ago.) My copilot kept getting called out for crap, I didnt for some reason. I am such a rebel. I wore flip flops TO and FROM the pool! OUCH!! And I actually wore a moral patch the WHOLE TIME! And I never WORE A REFLECTIVE BELT!! On a side note, besides the living quarters, Died is far better for stupid crap than Manas was. You had a card they marked for beer vs. scanning your ID (hence NO chance for anymore than 2). No longer do you have to wear reflective belts in the Coalition Compound. And, I have heard that the decision was made that Aircrew and permanent party gets the new dorms, and they seemed very sure (from the General) that they would be operational in January. By the way, I had my morale patch made there, and it simply said "ADULT." Just cuz sometimes, people need a reminder. Made a great point, that people noticed. On the reflective belt topic, we did a short layover in Al Dafrah, and as I walked to the chow hall across the flight line, some SGT ran up to me and my co and said "do you guys have your reflective gear? (like "gear" makes it cooler to say than "belt)" Me: Nope Maintenance ass: "I think it is very prudent to have reflective gear when walking across a dark ramp" (by the way, Dahfra's ramp isnt dark. Me: "Ok thanks, ill keep that in mind" I walked away, and the Maintenance dude had a shocked look on his face. End of story. Hence, just say no, and you'd be surprised, if we all do it, it just may go away. Stiffler signing off. Happy to be home

Satcom....perfect. That is a great story.
-
You would be shocked, but usually I do go back and say hello. But my point is, if you wanna "black mark" someones name and not provide them service, I can not provide you service as well. I love the discussion that happened a few months back. Next time finance (or whomever) makes you do their job, make them plan their next flight with you in PFPS and tell them that until they get it right, they dont get paid. Finance guy, thanks for discussing with us. Hopefully you can see our frustration and make a difference in your squadron.

Cool, Ill be sure the next time someone from the "other buildings" gives me attitude, Ill forget to let them on the plane. ;-)

They need to apologize, and stat, if our theories are true
-
Dude very good work. I am glad someone with the background necessary is pushing the FOIA requests, etc. We can's let this die. We would have forgotten all about this if the AF would have dealt with it immediately, apologized the the Krygzystan Govt (I talked with a few locals there who were hurt that this happened. They were upset that she made, in their view, the Americans hate them and consider them terrorists) etc. Now we are dealing with something that looks extremely shady and aweful, and in rainman's words, Gross. Though not as serious, this has the Pat Tillman type qualities.

Ok so about four of us were in uniform at Jimmy Johns in Madison, WI, and as we were eating, some regular looking guy was at the counter, staring at us. Typically when they do this, you expect questions like "Do you know Jim Jimson, he's in the Air Force," or "what jets do you fly?" etc. Instead: Weird Dude: "Did you know your jets cause memory loss in children?" Us: "What?" Weird Dude: "Your low passes over the neighborhoods cause memory loss in children. My children look up at the jets and get a blank face for about 4 seconds (then proceeded to have a dumb blank look for four seconds to show us what he means)." I start laughing so hard I almost cry. Wierd Dude to me: " You think its funny that you make children lose their memory?" Needless to say this went on for about 5 minutes as he kept asking us on a one sided conversation to talk to our "superiors." I said that i "will tell my superiors If i remember to, but I have been having the issues with my memory lately!" This made him PISSED. He finally leaves with a "peace" comment. Hahahahahahhahaha

All E models are Guard and Reserve, Guard and Reserve tankers arent in the desert.
-
As many of us are doing by volunteering to augment AD pretty often. That mix has been working well.
-
Not AT days, they are Title 10 active duty, paid for by the feds. I doubt you'll see the guard taking over an AOR committment. With AD guys only deploying 2- 60 day cycles a year, good luck getting the govt to approve an activation, and without 15 day rotations, the guard cant staff it. I heard this directly from the wing commander at Manas (which i had the pleasure of flying with...by pleasure I mean no pleasure at all) who said "no less than 30 day rotations." He is under the impression that we cant get spun up and fly in 15 days. He forgets that his missions really arent difficult at all, and most of us have all been to war before, as well as coronets, aeromeds, and every mission the tanker does. Besides, some missions out of Guam are mind blowingly complicated, and we do that just fine. But Im not complaining at all. Someone has to do Guam and Curacao. And if we arent gonna get retirement till 60, Ill take the good deal and not feel guilty. I have deployed to the AOR though with Active duty, before anyone calls me out (Scooter )
