    Rumor has it AC's have to have leashes on their crews at deployed locations. At least they're the retractable type leashes, and they connect to a body harness thing so thats good.

    who knows, they're either 1) still experiencing problems or 2) pilots are hyper-sensitive to it (i know i would be) and that weird feeling that you wouldn't think twice about becomes "oh shit, am i getting hypoxic?" Not trying to talk trash, just a thought

    Its likely the highest of the high-ups weren't privy to the plot. But Iranian gov't agencies appear pretty implicitly involved. The gov't leaders of Iran, just as in any country, are still held responsible/accountable when elements in their government are doing stupid sh!t involving other countries/assassinations/etc

    Agreed, you cant expect the protections/rights of a citizen if you don't want to be one and are engaged in open conflict with a country who only still considers you a citizen because you didn't officially revoke it.

    Oh wow, would their mission be picked up by contracted dudes? Curious if they rumors are from reliable sources. Cannon got its mission reassigned following BRAC so it'd be kind of weird to see them getting missions/ac's pulled away from the base.

    That armor helps negate the AP and concussive properties of projectiles by having the detonation occur not right on the surface of the armor. Still, all the super fast and lethal shrapnel peppers the armor. For example, you slap the fence on a -60 even though say an RPG detonates farther away, all that shrapnel is still going to "hot knife through butter" the un-armored sides of the helo. Still going to wreck shop on engines, personnel etc. Doubt the cost benefit is there.
