I got in a fender bender about two months ago, unlucky but my fault. Called USAA at near midnight was asked a few questions by a cs girl. Was called at 9am the next day and the guy had already talked to the other person and their insurance. I was on the phone with him for maybe 10 minutes. Then got a call the next day because my dad was the main holder on the account and the check was about to be mailed to him. The guy caught this and I said I'd like it to be mailed to me. Got the check 3 days later for a decent amount. I'm now just selling the car and using the money as a down payment on another. USAA is awesome. Its the ONLY company I actually ENJOY calling.... I mean seriously their people are great.

Just found out I got an alternate.... pretty bummed. I hope they give some reasons why :( I'd like to find out how any of the guys that were "alternates" at the last board fared this time around since this is a relatively new thing supposedly.... If they said we wont hear till July 8th it means we wont hear anything until 2 weeks past that..... I kid.... but seriously

The last week of April was definitely not the first group... the only thing that worries me is that they still have never even asked for proof that I got the stuff with my teeth fixed.

My stuff will be at the June board.... don't know whether to be nervous or excited... has anyone else heard back from WP yet? I was the first batch to go up there and still havent heard anything.

From what I hear it is June 20th.... or sometime around there.

Thanks for the Reply.... can't find a Dentist that could do it before Monday anyhow so we'll just see how it goes. I'm certainly brushing more.... haha. Never thought my teeth would be what I was worried about for the Medical.

I've been scheduled to do my FC1 at Wright-Patterson this coming Monday. I hadn't been to a dentist in awhile so I figured I needed to get into one. I wasn't expecting to be scheduled so soon so I only went today.... needless to say I have some work that needs to be done. This dentist can only get me in next Thursday after I come back. Is it better to find a dentist that can do the work ASAP or will I be alright going to WP with the paperwork showing them I'm getting the work done? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Anybody know how getting the orders to go is going to work when congress can't come up with a budget? I'm supposed to go March 21st (next week) but my unit has no money to cut orders yet. Is there any possibility of doing it without official orders when I've already been scheduled for it?

My thoughts exactly... but it was done in more of a documentary style and the discovery one is going to be much more reality shoe type.... Im pretty sure it'll still be a good watch though. I have a buddy about to head up to alaska to try his luck up there.

There was a 3 part series on National Geo that premiered a couple days ago about flying in Alaska... it was a good watch. I've heard the Discovery show has a lot of stuff thats trumped up for drama.... not that I'm surprised.

I couldn't even begin to imagine the complications of trying to set up some of these trips..... absolutely amazing. If he writes a book i'll read it.

I never lived in Ramstein but I was in Frankfurt and have been around the area quite a lot. All I can say about the furniture is that if you want a "La-Z-Boy" Style couch then buy before you go. If you want a quality but with a little flair and something different, buy in Germany. I don't think there's a HUGE difference but the ones over there do tend to have a different styling and will probably be pricier. Like stated before..... DEFINITELY bring the bikes. You will regret it if you don't. Riding a bike in rural Germany is an awesome experience. I wouldn't worry about too many of the appliances. Just bring the things you NEED, not useless ones. I don't know how it works for you guys but we were provided plenty of transformers from my parents office. As for the house and space, I lived in the city so naturally we lived in a bit smaller of a place. It was 6 Rooms with 2 Bathrooms on two floors and probably around 2000 sq. ft. The houses in Rural places do tend to be of pretty good size though. From my experience, the newer the place the more "open flooring" it'll be. Some of the older places can have a lot of overall space but not much of it is open. Think old Boston town home. But I'm sure you'll be in a newer place.
