    From a diplomatic and strategic standpoint, Pakistan has to walk the fine line that is appeasing Islam and helping the US. That's what is at work here, it's a complicated entanglement. Is it in our interests to chuck all that in the trash because of seeming hypocrisy by the Pakistani's? I think they're doing a good job spewing bullsh*t about how we didn't get permission. My bet is it will go away, just like all the other controversial things we've done there. FM

    '2' We're actually playing a dangerous game, that if taken a bit further will see large shifts in priorities and allegiances among states. The world will become much less predictable than it is now. Leading to a paradigm shift? We'll need to get very creative in the methods we choose to support our strategic and tactical interests. FM

    It would be interesting to know the real numbers when it comes to their operational budgets vs. new acquisitions. How much TLC are they going to put into keeping their people happy, and their systems functioning? It is interesting that the Rooskies and the Chicomms seem to be focusing on each other.     I say, not likely. He hasn't the balls for it, and may not want to do it anyway. If EADS creates enough jobs in the US, then Obama can stop the Boeing sale, and give it to EADS. After all, aren't the French our biggest ally? Don't count out any weird and bizarre scenario when it comes to current political decision making. FM

    It's still is different than it used to be (and a good thing). My oldest Son is just finishing his AD requirement for the Marine Corps. And, my youngest is heading for Paris Island in a couple of months. When I am with them, and folks find out what they're up to, they get tons of respect and thanks. I only have profanity for the cowards at the airport in the story - so I'll just leave it right there. FM
