Well, they do seem to have been invited up north... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanctuary_city#/media/File:Map_of_Sanctuary_Cities_and_Counties_in_the_United_States.svg SF says they welcome folks from other places (to join the homeless?) https://sfmayor.org/sanctuary-city Then there's DC: https://mayor.dc.gov/release/mayor-bowser-issues-statement-reaffirming-dc-sanctuary-city Or Chicago: https://www.chicago.gov/content/dam/city/depts/mayor/Office of New Americans/PDFs/SanctuaryCitiesFAQs.pdf You can use this guide to help your own Sanctuary City: https://www.afsc.org/blogs/media-uncovered/how-to-talk-about-sanctuary-cities

Anyone care to comment about whether-or-not Russia is running low on expendables (not humans). Maybe poking the bear (STS) works if he isn't being fed - eventually he'll run out of energy (and resources) to fight?

"That's the tweet." No, that's the twit - his name is Dean Preston.

All the prosecutors need to do, is call him a right-wing extremist and h*ll will break loose.

Rather cringe worthy...

The inner eight-year-old in me wants to pop some flares over these things. I'm sure that's too danger close though.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Here's a complimentary gaff from our VP. Wait, is it a Republic or Peoples Republic?

Just in time for the election - yay!

Or how well controlled it is.

I'll bet that when the town council (or whatever passes for local government there) passed the "Sanctuary" thing, they never dreamed actual immigrants would ever show up. Maybe that should be called "Safe Hypocrisy"

And for me, using Chrome on a windows PC

This is payback for being personally throttled by Trump in the debates. Have you noticed, the dems have already said "No Debates" this next time.

Wait is that M2's Twitter account? That doesn't seem right (or does it?)

Federal Oil Leases Slow to a Trickle Under Biden President, citing climate change, spurns resources his predecessors relied on to boost U.S. energy production Have to apologize, as this particular story the WSJ wants you to sign-up (not free). So, I've posted some snippets: "WASHINGTON—The Biden administration has leased fewer acres for oil-and-gas drilling offshore and on federal land than any other administration in its early stages dating back to the end of World War II, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis. President Biden’s Interior Department leased 126,228 acres for drilling through Aug. 20, his first 19 months in office, the analysis found. No other president since Richard Nixon in 1969-70 leased out fewer than 4.4 million acres at this stage in his first term." And "In all, the Interior Department has awarded 203 leases for oil and gas development during Mr. Biden’s first 19 months in office. Former presidents Trump and Obama each approved 10 times as many leases during the same period, the Journal’s analysis shows." And "For offshore drilling, the Biden administration has yet to complete a sale."

Russian oil chief Ravil Maganov dies after ‘hospital fall’ https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/russian-oil-chief-ravil-maganov-dies-after-hospital-fall-hk0mjw5sb I hope this is a free link, but wanted to add this little news item here. I first thought this might be something from a movie...

He's been rolling in his grave for quite some time now.

Regretfully however, their website is all about victims. Every story describes a victim and what they've suffered. It's tiring. You can try the Times of London, but like the WSJ, it is a pay site (I am paying $4./mo). They hate Trump and BoJo (I know, no longer a factor), but the opinions seem a little more to the middle and right.

OMG - I can't un-see that. I'm going to go scrub my eyes with lye soap and have a lobotomy.

I wonder how many here think that Trump actually knew about these documents, and their content? He is a great delegator, and likely someone on his staff just thought they were doing the appropriate thing (whatever that was). I just cannot picture Trump handling these things, and putting them under his coat on the way out the door, or saying, "Let's keep those extremely sensitive documents in the closet down in Florida." Are some giving him too much credit for his role in this? And yes, it sounds like this was his responsibility, but some of us know how custodial security works. So much more to this story.

Translation: "Air Force fan website says brit private pilots make image of Queen, which is better than US Navy cock and balls." And in semi-related news - airforcetimes is clearly hitting on all cylinders today, with this headline, "5 military movies that would be better with Velociraptors." Not sure if that's a good thing or not (might be).

This is a perfect example of drama driving the news. In Virginia, we must have at least 1,500 cases of this thing, out of seven million - that's really scary! Okay, not so much, butt you get the idea.
