  1. just got briefed "there will be no morale patches, pencil tab patches, or friday shirts in the AOR PERIOD"
  2. in for the answer to this
  3. In for list of RDTMs....
  4. just go with it....because you don't have the "big picture"
  5. most importantly, when can we submit VSP applications?
  6. i just put my reasons
  7. Our commander has been pretty awesome about this whole thing, just sent this email out to us
  8. had a guy at my last base that has 3 years left on his UPT ADSC...and WG/CC told him to reapply...... will be interesting to see what happens. I have 5 years on my ADSC left so my only real option is the VSP
  9. this was sent out by our CC today: Officers, The Voluntary Separation Pay, Reduction in Force and Force Shaping Boards are being revised at AFPC and have been placed on hold. The new window for application to AFPC is 'to be determined'. If you intend to apply for VSP, I encourage you to build your package and submit it to me as soon as possible. I will review the case and hold it awaiting further guidance from AFPC. I am in contact with the other commanders on base multiple times daily regarding the Force Management Programs. We are forwarding our issues and concerns through the chain of command to AFPC, and will continue to do so over for duration of the drawdown. Keep your head in the mission. You do important work.
  10. define submitted? sent to AFPC? sent to your CC? I just find it hard to believe multiple base MPSs said it's ok to submit early and they wouldnt send them til the window opened.
  11. I've heard that grumbling as well...that it "creates an error"...however, my Sq/CC said he received it just fine. I'd imagine that error is if the wing sends it to AFPC early...it's not like this is a new application, anyone can apply for separation at any given time with the same form.........however, i realize i am trying to apply logic here.
  12. awesome....my base said we could apply early and they would send it to AFPC on the 14th when the window opened so myself and many others already submitted our packages..... that's going around at my deployed location too.....i just figured it was wrong and went with what was in the PSDM
  13. as a guy that is here now, he is right. It wasn't an AF airplane or an AF crew. Still though.
  14. i'd think there would be an announcement AF wide instead of at one base if that were the case........but we have seen how this process has gone so far...
  15. they do, but they first go to your commander, then your wg/cc then afpc....some bases are allowing them to be submitted now and holding them up at wg/cc until the 14th. Our base had an email sent out saying you could submit now and they would be held at the base level until the 14th.
  16. some bases have started accepting VSP applications......some commanders are processing them early and waiting til the 14th to submit to afpc
  17. the way it was explained to me was that CZTE is IRS money and has 0 impact on the DOD budget.
  18. different pot of money......
  19. This. Also the army/navy has designed a lot of things to specifically fit in a C5 and a C5 alone....
  20. hope this stays the case.
  21. wow. so basically a list of eligibility was pushed out, and again after people apply, big blue is going to say just kidding, you aren't eligible......awesome
  22. pretty sure you are eligible to be force shaped
  23. Because the chart says voluntary program eligibility.....since the VSP is voluntary people are assuming that means VSP eligible.
  24. my understanding is the 11X on the chart that are blue are meeting the RIF board and eligible for VSP
