  1. Last I knew, a counseling session and a signed MFR from the Sq/CC were required to obtain sleep aids at one C-17 deployed location. This was due to some identified abuses by certain individuals in a sister squadron. It was easier to sleep like shit and get jacked up on Rip-Its during the mission than to get the Ambien for a good night sleep. I hope crews start racking up the ORM points into the high range due to lack of readily available caffeine sources.
  2. ^^^ Suggest this gets its own thread. Because taking away our caffeine will help prevent things like landing at the wrong airport after a ball-buster 20 hour day. Here they go again deciding what's best for my health because obviously I am too immature to decide for myself. UFB
  3. Guys, lay off. He's cool. His avatar is a "Keep Calm and [insert something cool here]" pic. Anyone have a copy of the boldface/ops limits for the T-6 he can start studying?
  4. Nice. Douchenozzle was getting a bit tired.
  5. Wow. Another week gone by with promises of further information or movement and all we get is an AF.mil article telling us shit we already knew. Apparently A1 was able to distract Welsh further after his alleged phone call last week. Complete loss of confidence in leadership on my end. ETA: Not to mention the thoughtful reminder about our Core Values... again. Insulting.
  6. I know a couple of guys who submitted within the first 6-9 minutes (not STS) after midnight. Neither has been denied. I finally got mine in around 9 am CST. Still not denied. They better hurry up and deny me, as I want to get that Palace Chase app in.
  7. Battery, eh? I'm gonna need a schematic to see how that one worked.
  8. Despite your cartoon, I still decided to Google the term, "Pegboy." God dammit....
  9. Just throwing it out there. I know TERA is a whole different ball of wax and time is running short. While I know it's fruitless, I'm just trying to apply some logic to this sequence of events.
  10. Devil's advocate... The way I (as confirmed by my WG/CC) understand it, the current guidance will not allow for most ADSC waivers. With a presumably large number of the VSP apps requiring some sort of waiver, perhaps this is a stall tactic until SecAF approval to waive these commitments is granted. Otherwise they risk starting the whole application process from scratch for the majority of VSP'ers. Wishful thinking? Probably.
  11. Fourth time. I have the utmost confidence they'll get it right on the fourth iteration. I wish I had the luxury of four attempts to ensure mission success in my job.
  12. "Citibank KC-46 brought to you by Doritos." Funding issues solved.
  13. Checks. We got an email forward of the message from AFPC from our MPF folks right about the time it started to blow up on BODN today.
  14. Thank God for dedicated officers like her who will replace apathetic officers like me after VSP. Oh wait...
  15. This shit is way more exciting than that football "game" last weekend!
  16. Prenup, prenup, prenup...
  17. It was a veiled shot at the stupidity of that "acronym." Apparently back in '05, leadership was less inclined to get butthurt about a little fun-poking.... or they were clueless.
  18. They'll get it right when they re-re-release it next month. Third time's the charm.
  19. Tax Question. I post it here because I figure there are a bunch of us in the same boat right now. I received my 1098 from NBoKC and the VA Funding fee on the house I closed on this spring is listed as a Mortgage Insurance Premium (Box 4). According to the Googles, it appears that should be deductible on my 2013 taxes. Much of this fee was covered by a credit from NBoKC I received at closing, and I think the remainder was covered by the seller's closing costs. Is the entire amount still deductible?
  20. Shoe Flag? That's still going on? One would think they would shut that shit down before they start RIFing people!
  21. I believe you are correct. I fully expect to see more small "improvements" to the AF in the near future. Too little, too late for most of us.
  22. Looks like a couple of job openings.
  23. Certainly not a shot at you HD. Just an observation. Cornholio - thanks for the insight. That kind of gouge is exactly what this thread needs. IMHO, patience is going to pay off during this abortion of a force management program.
  24. Sounds good. Where's that matrix?
