  1. Though I don't recall exactly what it was (nor do I care to look it up again), but 222 was always my favorite.
  2. I don't think most ops guys actually care who the cnx goes to. I start to lose my sh!t when the other party(s) blatantly lie about the reason to put the blame on someone else. I've seen this multiple times at a deployed location where a crew bends over backwards to try to make the mission happen, but just can't do it (MX, WX, cargo). The next day the delay code is on the crew explained with a flat-out lie as to why it was an ops cnx.
  3. I stand corrected... times 2.
  4. The BQZip's mom joke practically writes itself....
  5. A beer kill tally?! On her chest?! Gott in Himmel...
  6. This happened in CHS a couple years ago. The hangar was empty at the time. The foam was blowing all over the ramp after the doors were cracked. Pictures were up on Facebook so quickly that "leadership" had to send an e-mail telling people that photos of the flight-line were verboten unless approved through PA.
  7. So is this 11F specific or do you (CH) foresee this happening 11X-wide? I've tossed stoploss out to my fellow 11M guys over the last year and most have laughed it off.
  8. It's cool, she's using cooking oil.
  9. I'm curious if anyone has a good list of good vs bad push lines. If MAJCOM staff is bad, is HAF staff good? Having never been an exec, I want to scrub my OPRs for mediocrity. Edit: Not trying to derail, just want to know what sort of crap I'll be putting on my PRF whenever '05 gets a chance to submit one.
  10. I think Kelly is one of the depots for the -17. There must have been some leftover screws after they put the jet back together.
  11. In part, there were deeper underlying training/upgrade issues that drove a majority of these "incidents." I'd argue that fatigue for MAF crews is pretty universal. But that's probably a discussion for another thread...
  12. One way of putting it, I guess.
  13. Where are the ring girls?
  14. This thread has derailed. Get back to the ring girls...
  15. I wonder if Spur will be called to testify in these legal proceedings.
  16. I'll give credit to the finance folks at my base after my recent PCS. An Airman sat me down in their office and walked me through PiPS (step-by-step) for what ended up being a relatively painless and intuitive process that I certainly could have figured out on my own with minimal frustration. I had to use PiPS one other time for an extended TDY and was relatively happy with the process. This begs the question... why the ###### do we use DTS?! After 7 years and over 900 TDY days in AMC I never figured that shit out.
  17. The obvious knee-jerk reaction to this accident should be immediate implementation of additional stabilized approach criteria and the banning of all visual approaches by all MAF aircraft.
  18. The very beginning of the recording is tower clearing them to land on 28L. They subsequently clear Skywest to land, but right after that you hear a yell in the background about an accident as they are trying to send the Skywest flight around. As for what the Asiana pilot is saying, I have no clue.
  19. Bored on a Saturday afternoon... SFO Tower Audio (pretty slow to load) Sounds like things were normal/normal until it hit the ground. No mention of an emergency and other aircraft being cleared to land.
  20. Looks eerily like the BA 777 crash at Heathrow in 2008. It looks like they barely made the pavement. Strictly an observation.
  21. I'll go ahead and nominate the above as the greatest picture to ever grace this forum... nay, the internet in its entirety.
  22. Strategic power projection is not important when you have prize-winning Clydesdales with tight itineraries. Those show horses aren't going to fly themselves around the world.
  23. Just the tip of the ice berg, my friend.
  24. His name is Erin. Apparently child abuse runs in the family.
