  1. Thanks, man. Did he or the Family Readiness say if he'd be making his rounds to different bases?
  2. Huggy, how long ago was this?

Ahhnold's bahck. Apparently Skynet has manifested itself in the form of a Mexican drug cartel and interrupted the Terminator's peaceful life as a retired sheriff in a rural Southwestern town. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUVoxEmEmTA
  4. Did they specifically tell you flight suit or just to be in uniform? If it was the latter, I'd definitely wear mess dress. No question.
  5. We can no longer tell the difference between legitimate and counterfit microchips; that includes hardware in our military weaponry. Old news, I suppose. https://www.businessi...security-2012-6
  6. Depends if the Orderly Room is up and running.
  7. I'm pretty certain you can get a house as long as you can show you're married. I had several friends in that boat; it shouldn't be a problem.
  8. Dude, you'll be fine; don't worry about it. You're not going to be missing some piece to the puzzle that is only found at IFS. That's why it's called "Flight Screening" not "Initial Flight Instruction From Which Your Entire Military Aviation Career Will Be Predicated Upon." They'll teach you what you need at UPT. Enjoy the time off until then.
  9. Take the time to read these books, my friend. If, by chance, you've read them before, you should read them again. https://www.amazon.co...rds=mind+of+war https://www.amazon.co...1&keywords=boyd Good question. The time from design/engineering to full production on the Viper/Hornet was really short, around 5 years. I'm guessing munitions were released sometime around the competitive fly off period between the two jets, a couple years prior.
  10. Then it must be a great plane because if it sucked, I'm sure he would've let you know.
  11. Thanks for the reminder, dude. I'm so glad that, as a society, we don't use our wealth of technology and communicative ability to exploit people's tragedies. In honor of 141 pages of "WTF" items: https://en.wikipedia....-141_Starlifter
  12. Great read. I have to wonder if living on the lam, constantly worrying about being caught (again), is worth it.
  13. Maybe his used car sales bit is just a front to cover up the fact that he's some type of Assassin Pimp, and the dude his wife hired actually worked for him. Assume nothing.
  14. Dude is super relaxed about his ex-wife trying to have him killed; he also chastises her for not paying the hitman enough to get the job done properly. Edit: for second vid. The internets has been good today. Escaped prison convict convinces cop that he's just a jogger.
  15. Wait, who cleared you to land? Don't tell me you were VFR.
  16. A stark warning to any of you that were planning on having premarital sex in Pakistan: https://www.bbc.co.uk...d-asia-19136199
  17. PWAK. Go for broke.

Champ, in the 130, how often do you guys practice air to air plane dismemberment? Cool scene, regardless of realism.
  20. Speaking of racial slurs, this chick from Greece just got booted from the Olympics as a triple jumper because of a comment she made in reference to African immigration in her home nation. Now my only interest in the Summer Games is on its way back to unemployment in Greece. https://sports.yahoo....on-twitter.html
  21. There's a tanker other than the 10? Glad the pilot's safe; cheers to the crews.

I'll be shocked if it doesn't get pulled from the shelves after this weekend.
  23. The media's ability to actively exploit a tragedy never ceases to surprise me. Foxnews followed the shooter's dad through the airport yesterday, grilling him incessantly, until he got through security; by virtue of the fact that he wasn't responding to any of their questions and had a glazed look on his face, it was obvious he was a wreck. Thoughts and prayers for all the families directly and indirectly involved.
  24. "Mattis bet us 50 bucks that we couldn't put it down at O. Knight; we had no choice but to defend the honor of our service and our airframe." That would be my story to the grave.
