TDY Gouge - Iraq

Kirkuk AB, Iraq- Kirkut is a nice place to spend your time in Iraq... Everyone is now in Mods and the Army are in their Pods. Chow hall is good, hey lets face it there is nothing wrong with eating ice cream during alarm conditions. Beware in the rainy season as there dust there turns to mud and gets very deep. Rooms were sitting 7 for Airmen, 6 for NCO 4-5 SNCO Officers 3-4 per room and commanders have their own pod.

Tallil, Iraq - Transient Tent was okay. Had to spend the night when the herky broke. Standard GI tent with cots. There is a Pizza Hut and Burger King right outside the U.S. compound. Rumor has it that the Italian dining hall is the place to go (wine!).
