Beaver Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Favorite Brews: Macro: Coors Original Banquet Beer Sierra Nevada Guinness Micro: Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale Boddingtons And just to spark discussion: Fat Tire sucks and so does anyone who claims that it doesn't
Boxhead Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 My beer days are almost over, I just don't drink it a lot. Maker's Mark on the other hand.....still going strong If I do drink beer though...my favorite....I guess that would be free beer. Macro, Micro, whatever, free beer is good beer.

Stiffler Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Stella Artois Boddington's Warsteiner Killians Irish Red Stella is horrible unless you are in Manas. Boddingtons rocks. Absolute Favorite: John Smiths.... tied with Caffreys

Steve Davies Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Lager: Stella Artois Staropramen Carlsberg Bitter: Old Speckled Hen Stout: Caffreys
Beaver Posted April 5, 2007 Author Posted April 5, 2007 I usually don't like anything in a green bottle. Something about UV radiation and skunky taste (Stella, Heineken). And I hate Shiner because I hate Texas.
Flare Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 99.69 percent of the time...........Fat Tire drinker=Zoo Grad. I guess it's the only beer they serve up there?

Guest NoleMet Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I usually don't like anything in a green bottle. Something about UV radiation and skunky taste (Stella, Heineken). Thank you, and I thought it was just me all these years... Anyone here ever had Bishops Finger (ahem)? Fine English ale.
Cooter Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Favorite Brews: Macro: Coors Original Banquet Beer Sierra Nevada Guinness Micro: Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale Boddingtons And just to spark discussion: Fat Tire sucks and so does anyone who claims that it doesn't Second the Fat Tire, that is got to be the worst beer ever made...WORST Stella is horrible unless you are in Manas. Boddingtons rocks. Absolute Favorite: John Smiths.... tied with Caffreys 2nd the Caffreys...Nothing like stopping off in the UK and snagging some cases to stow away on the jet for home. I love my beer of all sorts (Except that bitch wanna be Fat Tire) and I'm from St Louis so I gotta go with Bud Light for my day to day. Having one right now and contempleting my upcoming 120 in the Died (speaking of bitches). Cooter
EnriquePallazo Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 1. Smithwicks 2. Anything that isnt 3.2, I hate Oklahoma
Guest rumblefish_2 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 John Courage (England) Any of the Hofbrau wheat beers...
Cooter Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 1. Smithwicks 2. Anything that isnt 3.2, I hate Oklahoma While at the store in my uni the day before St Paddy's a nice lady asked, "Would you like to try a new product from Guinness?" Reply - "Why yes ma'am I would!" It was Smithwick's and I liked, bold and smooth...daddy like! Cooter
M2 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Stella Artois is the wifebeater's beer of Belgium...trust me, I lived there for three years. For real beer, anyone in the KMC area needs to go out towards Sembach and pick up some Bischoff's. Only then will you know the true majesty of German brewing...just ask "Elvis" This, my friends, is the nectar of the gods... In the US, I gotta admit that Samuel Adams is tasty; and Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve was my favorite beverage when I was at Mt Home... Cheers! M2
Bergman Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 1. Yuengling. America's oldest brewery and damn fine beer. 2. Caffreys 3. Anything free and cold 4. Anything free 5. Anything cold
Guest rumblefish_2 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 I hate Oklahoma Don't be a hater. True on the Yuengling...
HerkDerka Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 (edited) Guinness, Newcastle, and Fat Tire are quickly becoming the Bud, Coors, and Miller of imports and micros. Ahem -- Lohrer Urtyp 1878 -- The Honzo sword of beers. But I will agree on Yeungling. Once of the best domestics ever. HD Edited April 6, 2007 by HerkDerka
abmwaldo Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 1. Widmer Brother's Hefeweizen 2. Alaska Amber/Summer 3. Yuengling Worst: 1. Anything sold in Oklahoma... Two cheers for driving across the border to Texas to pick up real beer.
Guest Bender Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Can't argue with HD... About the only thing the guy can do right is drink... BENDY
HerkDerka Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 (edited) Can't argue with HD... About the only thing the guy can do right is drink... I was about to make a witty retort, but then I realized you're pretty much right on. HD Edited April 6, 2007 by HerkDerka

Steve Davies Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Stella Artois is the wifebeater's beer of Belgium...trust me, I lived there for three years. It's known by the same name over here. Never heard of Bischoff. Will keep an eye out for it.
