It's been a while since I've been able to get to the local pistol range (it's been packed lately) but my wife and I finally made it the other day!

I love plinking with my 10/22!

Yeah man I love that thing! Usually I bring it along whenever I go out and blast off a couple hundred rounds just for fun. All I have done to it is I added a rear peep sight and replaced the front with a fiber optic sight. I think I have cleaned it maybe two or three times since I got it in high school.

Every American should own a 10-22. :salut:

Just don't post a picture of your kid holding it on Facebook. That 25 round 'clip' automatically turns it into an assault rifle.

Stupid should hurt economically:

MAGPUL leaving CO:https://www.denverpos...hers?source=rss

Respect to the company for sticking to its principles.

Colt eyeing leaving CThttps://www.foxnews.c...ticut-amid-gun/

I hope they do.

I already had about 20 PMAGs but bought another 5 windowed versions just out of principle. The largest (I believe) gun shop in Co Springs has also talked about moving out. Think a gutted Walgreens Pharmacy full of guns. It's not my favorite place but they do have selection. I hope they do move too.

"readily convertible" = illegal in CO. So every 10 Round PMAG is also illegal along with most other magazines:

That'd be Specialty Sports & Supply on E. Fountain. It's a usual stop whenever I'm up in the Springs. Prices are high (Rocky Mountain high? :thefinger:) compared to Texas, but it's a fun place to wander around and they do have a pretty good selection of stuff.

I wonder what Dragonman is gonna do?!?

2nd on that. The Ruger 10/22 should be standard issue to every american kid upon completion of a hunters safety course. Oh, and the ammunition is super cheap - it's like a pellet gun you don't have to pump. I got mine when I was 12.

The owner of MAGPUL testified in front of the Colorado Legislature that he found it morally wrong to stay in a state where it was illegal for his employees to purchase the products they make. He is taking over $45 million of the states economy out of state. Legislator's response, "if you don't like it leave."

Oh well, Colorado's loss is someone else's gain.

Have any of you guys seen any of the initial reviews of the Tavor bullpup? Thoughts? Early arguments are saying it's one of the best bullpups available (though good luck finding one right now since they just came out to the public). I have to say, the more video reviews I watch, the more I want one. I can only hope they come out with one in .308, but I won't hold my breath.

Here's an awesome review that MAC recently did on the Tavor:

Ammunition used to be super cheap

And it used to be available.

It still is if you know where to look. I just scored 400 rounds of Yugo M67 (7.62x39) for $75 in the wooden crate. Sure, it was via a private sale; but deals like this are out there. You just have to keep looking and strike quickly when it pops up...

You are the man! Thanks, I just ordered a couple!

Happy to help! Glad you got in on the deal! I don't why these mags are so hard to find and are so expensive (though this one was a good deal).

Paying it forward!

Anybody have any good recommendations/first hand experience on a kydex holster and mag pouch for the M&P .22? I've read that the M&P 22 slide is similar to the .45 in width and may fit a holster for those, but doesn't quite fit M&P 9 holsters. Thanks!

On another note, I just picked up another Mosin and was thinking of sporterizing it with the archangel stock https://www.promagindustries.com/product-p/aa9130.htm as well as throwing on a budget rifle scope with a Rock Solid Industries scope mount. Anyone have any experience sporterizing these?

OK gents, if anyone stumbles across any 7.62x25 Tokarev ammo, let me know. I've got a Yugo M57 inbound and need to find something to shoot through it...

Cheers! M2

I swung by the local gun counter at Walmart late yesterday and they actually had some ammo. And by some I mean couple boxes of .22, 2-3 100 rd. boxes of .45, 4 50rd. Boxes of. 40 and even a 100 rd. box of .223. Unfortunately I couldn't buy more than 3 boxes so I of course bot 3 boxes of .40... Maybe there's a light at the end of this drought?

There's always gunbroker if you're willing to pay the price...

Yea, I might just have to succumb to using GunBroker. The biggest problem with that is that it is blocked on NIPRNET at work. Such bullshit.

.80/round on this website. Probably not a great bargain, but I don't know anything about this particular caliber.

I saw that, and it beats the $55/50 rounds priced box I saw at the gun show this morning. Funny thing though, I stopped by Alamo Ammo and they said they didn't have any. I might just have to swing by their store as I would prefer to score some locally.

Otherwise, I may have to just see what I can score via GunBroker.

Thanks! M2

Why not buy the .22 ammo (unless you don't have a .22, or have a lot of .22 ammo stocked up)? Reason I ask is because looking at slickguns.com regularly, I see quite a bit of .40 available, for about $3-5 more a box than pre-scare. .22 on the other hand is pretty scarce against you're willing to pay over double on gunbroker.

This. .22LR is scarce at the moment, .40 is probably the most available handgun caliber around at the moment. It's easier to find that 9mm and .45ACP. If I see any .22, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat!
