BADFNZ Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 (edited) I know you guys are tired of hearing the "which aircraft are at which base" question so I figured I'd try to help out future pilots and pilot-selects. Bishop Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 https://scramble.nl/usaf.htm This website also gives you a good idea of what is where, dunno how up to date it is but I used to refer to it alot when I was big into traveling, as I used to make it a point ot stop at every mil base form point A to Point B within reasonable distance
Guest C-21 Pilot Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 C-17 Airdrop Locations... McChord (KTCM) Charleston (KCHS) Hickam (PHIK) Elmendorf (PAED) Altus (KLTS)....although this is the school house, they do participate in major exercises and have also "can" participate in wartime efforts if conditions exist. McGuire, Dover, Jackson, Travis are all airland. March is AFRC.
JarheadBoom Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 The KC-10s at McGuire and Travis are Reserve Associate wings. The aircraft are crewed and maintained by both AD and AFRC
Guest Hueypilot812 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Keesler will have a reverse-associate (active duty flying AFRC airplanes) C-130J squadron starting late spring, so might be something to add for the newbs to consider.
The Lefty Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 The 187th FTW is an ANG unit in Montgomery, Alabama w/ F16C and D's
Guest sog Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Updates: B-2: The 131st Bomb Wing is now flying the B-2 out of Whiteman AFB, MO. (ANG) https://www.131bw.ang.af.mil/ F-22: The 191FS is flying the F-22 out of Hickam AFB, HI (though it is not yet at full strength). (ANG) https://www.154wg.ang.af.mil/ 192FW is flying the F-22 out of Langley AFB, VA. (ANG) https://www.192fw.ang.af.mil/ And the 302FS is flying the F-22 out of Elmendorf AFB, AK (AFRC). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/302d_Fighter_Squadron F-16: Also being flown by the AFRC 301FW out of Dallas Fort-Worth. https://www.301fw.afrc.af.mil/ I'm sure there are other changes as well, but these are a few that I happened stumble across. On a related note, does anyone know how to get in touch with the person who runs wantscheck? I've used the "contact us" form, but gotten no reply, and the forum doesn't seem to work for me either - whenever I go to make a post, there is no text box to type into. I wouldn't much care, but I have a similar problem whenever I try to edit any unit's info - there is no "Save" button.... anyone know what the deal is? There are a bunch of units with outdated info that I'd like to update, but I can't.
Guest Erthwerm Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Updates: F-22: The 191FS is flying the F-22 out of Hickam AFB, HI (though it is not yet at full strength). (ANG) https://www.154wg.ang.af.mil/ Actually, it's the 199th FS. They're still flying the Eagle for a good while, though.
Guest Provo34 Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 The 121st ARF Guard unit flies KC-135s out of Rickenbacker ANGB in Columbus, Ohio as well.
Riddller Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 How about some numbers for the C-20/C-37/C-40?
BADFNZ Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 How about some numbers for the C-20/C-37/C-40? I have no SA on those, so as soon as someone posts up their info, I'll add it.
JLoweCSU Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Only saw one reference to Guard/Reserve RPAs (Fargo, ND). Any updates?
GovernmentMan Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 The closest I could find was this presentation from June, which indicates Preds currently at Fargo, with Preds and Global Hawks planned for Grand Forks. It doesn't break it down by AD/ANG/USAFR
mjk5401 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Only saw one reference to Guard/Reserve RPAs (Fargo, ND). Any updates? Syracuse, Texas (Ellington Field), Holloman, ND, and Creech so far. Several more on the way.

Stitch Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 ACTIVE DUTY F-15C - Kadena (Japan), Lakenheath (UK); Active force inventory: ? ANG/AFRC bases and aircraft (ANG, AFRC) F-15C: Great Falls MT, Portland OR, Klamath Falls OR, New Orleans LA, Jacksonville FL, Barnes MA Serious question: So active-duty Eagle guys get one overseas ops assignment? So when they come back from Kadena/Lakenheath what happens to them? Get assigned to a guard unit, AETC, RPAs, MC-12, non-flying desk jobs?

disgruntledemployee Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 AF Times story with a list of all the aircraft moves in AD, ANG, and AFRC. There are 3 pdf files in the article that contain all the good info. https://www.airforcetimes.com/news/2013/03/air-force-moves-forward-with-restructuring-plan-032913/ Out
AFsock Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 No more MC-130Ps at Mildenhall... MC-130Js at Canon and Mildenhall now, not sure of their numbers.
Cody Land Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 So, I will go ahead and ask the dumb question, but I just want to have clarification: Hypothetically, if I drop RC-135 and the only base that houses them is Offutt, my wife will be expected to always live at Offutt AFB?
xaarman Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 You can homestead there for 8+ years if desired, you'll leave for a staff assignment eventually (could be at USSTRATCOM.) Once you make IP, the other bases (Kadena, Mildenhall, some other places) become options if you want to PCS there. But you will always go back to Offutt.Mods can probably move this to the RC-135 thread.
