Guest Sparky Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 I know there are quite a few witty/creative individuals on this forum...and I am not one of them! I need help coming up with a name for a PIT crash pad I purchased down in Cibolo TX (Randolph AFB). Here is the deal! I bought this brand new 4 bdrm home and have spent over $20K on furnishing this place like a luxury hotel. Here is the premise....I have stayed at Randolph's billeting several times and admit it's not too bad for a short-term stay, but lacks the comforts of a home for long-term use. I am trying to provide a better option for single dudes wishing to stay off base while going through PIT training but at the same rate as billeting ($27 per night). I will have 3 individuals in the home at anyone time. Here are some of the things I feel will make this an attractive option. 1. Fully furnished, to include washer/dryer, flat screen tv's in every room, HD Tv/DVR/DVD/Direct Tv in every bedroom 2. Utilities included 3. Lawn Service 4. Sorry..but the formal dinning room has been converted to a Bar! Darts, foosball, cards, and Kegerator 5. Gameroom upstairs is a study area 6. Living area has 42" flat screen mounted over fireplace w/surround sound 7. Grill outside 8. Currently searching for a Hot tub for outback 9. All linnens/towels provided (600 thread count sheets) 10. Top of the line Pillow top mattresses in every bedroom, alarm clocks, phones 11. Kitchen is fully supplied with everything Ok...what I need from you guys! The crash pad will be open for business 2 Jan 08 and 2 rooms are already taken through May 08. I need a name for the place that will be placed on the front door and also will be the name of my LLC. Be creative...the individual who comes up with the name that I end up using will win a $50 gift certificate to their favorite restaraunt. I am considering something along the lines of an aviation theme...but no a must. Also, I am considering naming each of the individual suite in the house and would be great if it all tied together. Thanks in advance for the help...and hope I can buy dinner for one of you witty guys/gals. cheers, Sparky

av8tor55 Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 How about Casa Salchicha (Sausage House)? I think you should save the 600 count linens for yourself and get some latex/vinyl sheets for those beds.
outbreak Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 The Swamp of M*A*S*H fame comes to mind, but the Gators already live there at RND. The Crash Pad or PIT Crash Pad sounds fine to me.
Guest Sparky Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 The "Cock-pit". That's awesome I wonder if I could get away with the hyphen for my LLC.
Coasta Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 That's awesome I wonder if I could get away with the hyphen for my LLC. If you have all females there, you could call it the "Box Office"
kdwntwn Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 If "Cock-PIT" doesn't work, what about THE PITstop?
Bluto Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Jan 08? Hell let me move in now, this billeting shit sucks!
Guest Sparky Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Jan 08? Hell let me move in now, this billeting shit sucks! Are you in billeting now? What training are you in and when do you complete training? If interested...I could probably let you in as early as the 1st or 2nd week in December, just keep in mind that the place will not be "100%" until January. It will however have wireless internet, all furniture, and Direct TV installed within 2 weeks. Cheers, Sparky Send me a PM if interested.
Murph Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I think you should save the 600 count linens for yourself and get some latex/vinyl sheets for those beds. Pfft. That 600 thread count stuff is for the birds... go with 1000!

FallingOsh Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 The Snake Pit - multiple meanings with that one The Liquor Box - pronounced lick her box. i dont know how far you want to take it but each suite could be named after different booze
HerkDerka Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 You might consider an Alamo theme... The Bowie Brothel Hookers and Blow The winner in my book. HD
Guest TrimMonkey Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 The PIT standard of living sure is increasing. There are several rental houses for guys out there near Randolph that I wish I would have known about prior to PIT. Yours sounds a great deal like the one at Aviatorpalace.com.
Guest Sparky Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 (edited) The PIT standard of living sure is increasing. There are several rental houses for guys out there near Randolph that I wish I would have known about prior to PIT. Yours sounds a great deal like the one at Aviatorpalace.com. Thanks for the link...I had no idea anyone else was doing this too! After checking out their concept it seems as though our places will be pretty similar with just a few differences. It looks as though that is a pretty old house but has been tech'd out, as will mine be. Initially I was looking for a pre-existing home but didn't quite find anything that I felt would be worthy of a "luxury" crash pad. That definitely would have saved me some money on a few things (blinds, sprinkler system, etc...). I guess most aren't really concerned with how nice the house is as long as it has all the comforts of home, they are booked up through Feb. Had I known that...I might have spent just a little bit less on furniture, but too late to turn back now and it will be sharp looking. I have had some PM's expressing interest and it looks as though I am fully booked up through mid-Feb and will have 2 slots available after that. Another slot will open up in April and another one in May if anyone else is interested. cheers, Sparky FYI, I am still deciding on the name...have been looking at domain names for the website. As much as I like Hookers and Blow (STS)...wait, forget the (STS), I would probably blush 3 shades everytime a girl scout came to the door trying to sell her dosi-dildos and creme filled cookies. Plus, I don't want to have any problems with advertisement. I can see it now, posted in the Randolph paper or at base housing office: Come stay at the Hookers and Blow, you can find additional information at www.hookersandblow.com, and yes...there is information there on gay sex and porn (I checked).
