Royal Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 4 AF/CC said no more blues on Monday; I haven't seen anything directly from AFRC.
Karl Hungus Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 4 AF/CC said no more blues on Monday; I haven't seen anything directly from AFRC. The reservists I knew all collectively ignored Blues Monday since it's creation. 3
Royal Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 The reservists I knew all collectively ignored Blues Monday since it's creation. Yeah, the email was merely a formality. When it got sent out, everyone at my squadron looked quizzically at their computer monitors and simultaneously echoed, "We were supposed to be wearing blues on Monday?" 2
dream big Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Any word on PACAF? Can't imagine a more sadistic insult to injury to all the Yokota, Misawa and Kadena guys right now than retaining blues Monday.
ThreeHoler Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Any word on PACAF? Can't imagine a more sadistic insult to injury to all the Yokota, Misawa and Kadena guys right now than retaining blues Monday. I heard it was Blues 24/7.
SuperWSO Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I'm living with opposite ends of the spectrum. My Guard unit just sent the word that our blues can go back into the back of the closet. Meanwhile, AETC/Goodfellow have announced that we will continue doing what we are doing until we get clearer direction. As if the Chief of Staff was vague...
raimius Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Well, it is the intel schoolhouse...I'm sure they'll need time to interpret it.
Napoleon_Tanerite Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Well, it is the intel schoolhouse...I'm sure they'll need time to interpret it. Probably wasn't presented in a 69 slide brief and/or hasn't been reported in commercial news, so they're not sure about its classification. 1

Meanwhile, AETC/Goodfellow have announced that we will continue doing what we are doing until we get clearer direction. As if the Chief of Staff was vague... I don't understand. Previous CSAF implemented a policy. Current CSAF says he has no such policy but leaves it up to Wing Commanders to deal with it as they see fit. Until they address it, no policy exists. Unless wing commanders proactively implement a policy, I think you're legal to wear whatever the fook you want. 1
disgruntledemployee Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 The response to the blues Monday question was crafted before the man took the office. And it looks like it was designed as a test...a test of leadership to the MAJCOM CCs and on down. I think it was to see how they lead and who has any balls. Out 2
Prozac Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 From the 97th AMW FB page. Altus AFB -- 97 Air Mobility Wing 22 hours ago The 97th Air Mobility Wing and Altus AFB currently plans no change to policy regarding the wear of the service uniform on Mondays (Blues Mondays). Repeat: There is no planned change to Blues Monday. Everybody is already way too happy there (I mean what's a better assignment right? MAYBE Hickam) so they figured they needed to take you all down a notch. Dude, I am so glad I let that fucking place! You getting paroled any time soon?
Jonesy Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Any word on PACAF? Can't imagine a more sadistic insult to injury to all the Yokota, Misawa and Kadena guys right now than retaining blues Monday. MAJCOM = no blues and because of the time difference we knew before we went home on Friday. Wings = their own discretion...unknown if some Wing CCs chose to stick with it.

MAYBE Hickam) so they figured they needed to take you all down a notch. Dude, I am so glad I let that ######ing place! You getting paroled any time soon? PCS in June back to Fairchild, looking forward to it.
Cell Dweller Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I'll get the email from my buddy tomorrow (he's out today).......... The original came from Gen Wolfenbarger's exec and was sent out to the respective commanders/directors here at WP..... Source confirmed, the word is finally getting out to the rest of AFMC.
frog Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 AETC will be keeping blues Monday per commanders briefing this morning. I haven't seen an actual policy letter.
LockheedFix Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 AETC will be keeping blues Monday per commanders briefing this morning. I haven't seen an actual policy letter. What commanders (e.g, Sq/CC briefing the squadron, AETC/CC briefing Wg/CCs)? This is completely different than what our Wg/CC was told last week.
sky_king Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I'm guessing there's no chance of getting rid of blues mondays at SOS is there...
Royal Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I'm guessing there's no chance of getting rid of blues mondays at SOS is there... Sure there is: mosey on down to clothing sales and get yourself an AFRC patch for your bag. Works like a charm. 1
BQZip01 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 AFGSC has decided to keep blues Mondays Ina completely unrelated news story, Minot's simulators have extended their hours to keep up with Monday demand... 1
billy pilgrim Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 AFGSC has decided to keep blues Mondays It's good to see that some are not content with the minimum... 1
08Dawg Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 AFGSC has decided to keep blues Mondays Ina completely unrelated news story, Minot's simulators have extended their hours to keep up with Monday demand... Why am I not surprised...
Guest Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 SAC sucks. It is because of all those Navs with no windows.
Wolf424 Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Any word on PACAF? Can't imagine a more sadistic insult to injury to all the Yokota, Misawa and Kadena guys right now than retaining blues Monday. PACAF punted the decision to the NAF/CCs and WG/CCs. I can say that Yokota is blues free though. (at least until someone busts the curfew)
