EASYCOM will still be rocking the blues.

Funny anecdote:

About six months ago the CDR decides he likes the AF's blues monday idea, so he adopts the policy. Now everybody (Army, Navy, etc.) is wearing the "Class B" on Mondays because of us. So, what do we do? Turn around and shitcan the policy. Absolute poetry. No wonder the other services can barely hide their contempt.

Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes...

Edited for coherence.

I can't imagine what it's like, but it must be pretty tough to be a Vikings fan. I applaude your dedication.

AFGSC has decided to keep blues Mondays

WTF? Why? Morale was suspected to be improving?

My blues pants button kept getting more and more desperate with each week that passed. Just when I had no hope left...!

-my ANAM test results were WAY high after hearing this news.

The battle of the bulge can now be fought by velcro alone!

AFGSC Command just announced (via Facebook of all things) that they are getting rid of mandatory Blues Mondays...

...starting 1 January

That's leadership for you. Do what everyone else is doing, but only weeks later

...no more blues on Wednesday

Thankfully I only wore blues on Mondays... but I know what you mean.

Any other UPT bases axe blues?

Laughlin just got rid of 'em. First hand account of the commander saying, "Well I was going to get rid of them if we had a unanimous vote."

One person out of the auditorium voted to keep them... but yes they are gone!

Announced at the staff meeting this week is Vance will be keeping blues on Monday, at least for now.

WTFO? Why are 'leaders' doing this? That's a flyer deciding on his own that Blues Monday still makes sense. That's just weird.

Because at Vance any on flying status didn't have to wear blues, so basically once you started UPT till the time you PCS'd the only time your blues saw sunlight was if you screwed up or graduation day. New OG/CC took over and decided if you weren't scheduled to fly you were in blues about 2 months ago. Guess they have to make up for the years that they had it good.

He's shielded the flying squadrons from base-wide uniform shenanigans in November. He definately earned some points in my book for that.

FWIW, I've never worn blues as a student or an instructor at Vance, and only recently did anyone come down really hard on Friday patches, morale patches, etc. The last crop of wing leadership was a good bunch, IMO.
