No, I am not a Tom Cruise type looking to paint the one I fly with. I have a "spare" on hand that I "found." Would like to get it painted. Anybody know of any place that does it?

I did use the search function...but got lazy after looking through the first 3 returns.

Any artist can paint a helmet. It is not different from a motorcycle helmet. All you need to do is to get the art work and find an artist that know his/her sh!t.

Check THIS out

I have seen some Vietnam era Army art work. Back in those days, I think it was just cowboy mentality. You will see aircrew with naked women on helmets, probably with a cigarette while flying. Are we ever going to go back to that?

The best way to do it is to remove all the leather edgeroll, sand/prep/paint the helmet, and then apply a new edgeroll. That takes a pretty good bit of arts and crafts skill, although I bought a case of beer for one of the life support NCOs in the squadron and she helped me glue all that stuff back together so it didn't look crappy.

Painting around/over the edge roll just ends up looking shabby when all is said and done.

Nice. Me like !

I have seen some unique stuff out there. No do your colors reflect at night? It would really be sweet if they did.
