60 driver Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 (edited) None of these will make the front page of national geographic (a lot of them are video captures), but some of them are kind of cool, and per the OP they were all taken of or from an airplane I was in at the time. To start off, a picture of an F-15 taken from a rare angle. The rare angle is through the HUD of a hog: Obligatory tanker shot: Ventilating some gently used Caterpillar equipment at the Nellis Range Complex: A little contractor work, post-active duty: Practice Autos: Sightseeing in Eastern Afghanistan: FARPin' it up at Ghazni: (I think) I thought about throwing an airline picture in for laughs, but it was just too depressing. Guest IronMaiden Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Well I'm not a pilot and I'm not in the Air Force yet, but my brother takes good and interesting pictures of you guys. Mostly from Nellis and Red Flag pics, hope you all don't mind if I post 'em up here. from red flag 08-4, we were sitting on coyote summit ( a small hill near the nellis ranges) and we camped there over night. It's a really awesome experience watching the participants zoom over your head goin' really fast. Once again these aren't mine, they're my younger brothers. My older bro designed the site and takes videos, me...I just like to watch the jets. here's a link to my bros site https://www.nellisspotters.com/home.html
drewpey Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 saw this ugly-ass thing the other day... had these funny things sticking out the side of it... it was taking it's sweet ass time on departure though... hope the dude in the bubble didn't want any boys... aww hell, just kidding. or am I?
war007afa Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Nobody cares about the guy in the bubble And if I had a nickle for every time I waited on a Talon to get the hell out of the way so I could depart, I'd have about $69 by now...

Insubordinate & Churlish Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Over the course of a few years, I've put together the following aviation pictures that I have set as my screen saver. Not all of it is military, but there's plenty of Herc porn, along with some F-16s and heritage flights. There's a lot of GA stuff related to my flying that you may not be interested in (Cubs, Citabrias RVs, etc), but it's a collection to at least start from. There's also a few cool sunset pictures. You need WinRar to extract the files. Also, I'm new to the whole archiving via WinRAR thing, so if it doesn't work, PM me and I'll try to fix it. Hope you enjoy it! Airplane Screen Saver
FlyingWolf Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Took this one up at Altus while on a PDT in ROTC
amcflyboy Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 (edited) Pics of when I deployed to Christchurch, NZ a couple of years ago. We made stops at Travis AFB, Hickham AFB, Pago Pago, and flew the New Zealand coastline for the remaining 60 miles north of CHC. Edited February 27, 2009 by amcflyboy
flynhigh Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 (edited) Bunch of random pictures I shot of the VH-71 visiting Duluth, MN, for icing testing. Edit: The F-16's in the next two pictures are from the 148th here in Duluth. Don't mind the quality of this one, thought it was a good shot otherwise. Edited March 1, 2009 by flynhigh
B.M. Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Because most boomers aren't drones, and most fighter pilots aren't douchebags. Post the pictures that remind you of why flying is worth the a$$pain of AMCART, long debriefs, and pencil whipping your latest homo CBT.
