Cap-10 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Who was the base commander at the Deid in '04 when the policy changed? Because I was deployed there at the time and that wasn't the reason we were told why the PT gear was implemented. https://www.af.mil/information/bios/bio.asp?bioID=7871 Cheers, Cap-10
Azimuth Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 https://www.af.mil/information/bios/bio.asp?bioID=7871 Cheers, Cap-10 It was actually this guy. https://www.af.mil/information/bios/bio.asp?bioID=7846

HuggyU2 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Fucking FAIP. Fuck you. FAIPs are hand picked. ... like a booger. 1

Karl Hungus Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 What was the reason? He sat SOF that day and was scarred for life.
Scooter14 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 yep. I think it's here to stay too. Well then, here's to aircrew leadership and fully covered lower back tattoos.
pawnman Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I think the civvies thing may have been pushed from higher than wing level, since more than one base in the AOR made the exact same change on the exact same day. For someone doing a lot of preaching about leadership, this is piss poor leadership logic. You don't have to draw an imaginary line 10 feet back so that folks don't cross the actual line. And another 10 feet prior to that. We've all seen it in every aspect of the Air Force. Taking CBTs for every ORE leading up to an ORI so you can be "more green", the OG/CC setting a time for a briefing, SQ/CC pushes that back 15 minutes, FLT/CCs push THAT back 15 minutes, soon you're sitting in the base theater an hour before the briefing is supposed to start, one crew does something stupid in a plane and we're all watching a video of the CFACC telling us not to dick around... 1

Isn't that called "leadership"?
pawnman Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Isn't that called "leadership"? Apparently. Leadership these days is less about getting results, more about CYA.
sky_king Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Apparently. Leadership these days is less about getting results, more about CYA. Nope. My SOS responsive readings say otherwise. I shall believe...
Napoleon_Tanerite Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Yep. If that was anyone other than Don Draper, that would be so incredibly gay. Instead, it borders on epic.
XL0901 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Anyone know the current tobacco situation??? Thanks
itsokimapilot Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Anyone know the current tobacco situation??? Thanks Can't be found here, unless you want to pay $10/can or pack. I brought enough for the duration of my time here. That'd be my recommendation.
jumangio Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 This just in, the threshold rule (men entering women's rooms and vice versa) has be rescinded. Eerily, this is not a big deal out here... almost like this place has "normalized."

Eerily, this is not a big deal out here... almost like this place has "normalized." I was living on the edge last night and walked: across 2 roads, from my humble abode half way across the CC, to the BRA and back... without... *gasp... a single reflective belt (not even 1 for my backpack) on. Not 1 fvck was given... and no one was hurt... and no one stopped me. 4

No one has said a word and I am definitely not alone. Culture change from the ground up!
