StoleIt Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 My jaw is on the floor. These are crazy. Anyone know the artist by chance? I want some prints! I mean seriously...damn! I just can't find a signature or any background on the pictures.
Jenkspaz Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 No clue, but those are impressive. The third one's the best. Also, I don't seem to recall the Nazi's having flying horses, but I wasn't alive then, so what the hell do I know?

StoleIt Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 It's art people. Flying horses, dragons, swords, Mp40's, chicks firing a Browning .50 Cal with 1 hand, and hogs shooting AMRAAMS. Who cares?! I still want one!
Karl Hungus Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Does that horse in the second one have 8 legs?
Jenkspaz Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Does that horse in the second one have 8 legs? The extras help create lift. German engineering.
D-ron Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Does that horse in the second one have 8 legs? Of course it does. How else would it keep up with a 109?
Hacker Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Hogs and AMRAAMs ... thats ... um ... creative I guess. AIM-7...but who's counting.
Guest Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 quoting Eleanor Roosevelt: "That's some crazy, wierd shit."
Guest JL Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 There was a thread about this a long time back... someone posted a link to the artists web page and it had all sorts of pictures like the ones above...
Guest Jackonicko Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Someone's been looking at Phil Castle's work..... https://blog.kierankelly.net/wp-content/upl...e_airflow_2.jpg https://home.comcast.net/~mharneyma/hayworth.html https://www.pikula.org/sale/article.php?aid=2408XQ0615O174 https://www.flickr.com/photos/gatochy/sets/72157594197469422/
slacker Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 If I had a van- I'd get a sweet airbrushed mural.
Guest whyme? Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 If I had a van- I'd get a sweet airbrushed mural. Problem 1 they are wearing clothes.
slacker Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Problem 1 they are wearing clothes. Problem 2- it's not 1977.
Guest regularjoe Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Problem 2- it's not 1977. You could always park it down by the river and be a motivational speaker.
HossHarris Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 AIM-7...but who's counting. Think so ..?? I think the perspective just makes it look wider. Can we get a ruling?
Jenkspaz Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Think so ..?? I think the perspective just makes it look wider. Can we get a ruling? AMRAAM: Sparrow: The BVR bitch-slap in the picture is the Sparrow. Look at the tail fins.
Hacker Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 AMRAAM: Sparrow: The BVR bitch-slap in the picture is the Sparrow. Look at the tail fins. The telltale feature that it's an AIM-7 and not an AMRAAM (aside from the size of the front fins) is the wave guide on the side of the body. Looks like a little cable tunnel running up the side of the missile body from the tail end.

I didn't see that there were planes (much less missiles) until you guys mentioned it.
Guest Bender Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I'll toatally have to dig the picture out of the stuff writtten on the first MOAB. It was all covert like...haha. So silly. I like the AMRAAMs. Personallly...they tend to be more personal. BENDY
Jenkspaz Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 This one gets my vote. HAWT! One acronym, three letters: DSL.

The may appear bigger from the front, but I think that's perspective. The "wave guide" only goes up to just in front of the front fins ... like an AMRAAM. An AIM-7 waveguide goes damn near to the seeker. Look closely at the art, there is a stripe in front of the "waveguide" ... but that ain't an AIM-7. AMRAAM: AIM-7:
GKinnear Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 God damnit it's just a painting! 2. Less about missiles, more about fantasy-art boobies!
