In 2010, the Cuyahoga County Recorder’s Office in Ohio changed their policy about copying records. Digital files would no longer be available, and the public would have to make hard copies of documents for $2 per page. This would prove to be prohibitively expensive for Data Trace Information Services and Property Insight, companies that collect hundreds of pages of this public information each week. They sued the Recorder’s Office for access to digital versions of the documents on a CD. In the middle of the case, a lawyer representing them questioned the IT administrator of the Recorder’s Office, which led to a 10-page argument over the semantics of photocopiers.

Thought this article was written very... creatively. Author must have been a creative writing major that couldn't find meaningful employment.

From building-crushing hurricanes to killer sinkholes, Gulf Coast residents have seen a lot. But even these battle-tested veterans of the weather wars are marveling at torrential rains that washed out bridges and roads, sent chest-high water into homes and forced major military bases to shut down Wednesday.

Had to laugh at the Med School Virgin Auction. Here's the line that sums it up:

"There will be a legal contract between us," she said. "[The winner] may not be happy [with the sex], but he knows what he's paying for."

If a guy just wanted to spend too much money and have disappointing sex, he could just get married instead.

Same guy almost gets schwacked by a wombat and claustrophobia. The fun starts at about 2:15 in.

That is going to do wonders for their recruitment and retention! Sort of a service wide coming out?
