California...what else needs to be said? 😒😒

In Texas. we would have shot the fucking bear!

4 charged with insurance fraud after allegedly dressing as bears to damage cars

Four people were arrested Wednesday in connection with insurance fraud when they claimed a bear damaged their car, but it was really a person in a bear costume, the California Department of Insurance said.

The suspects filed a claim with their insurance company, saying a bear got into their car, a 2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost, at Lake Arrowhead on Jan. 28, 2024, and damaged the inside with scratches. The insurance department said the suspects provided a video to the company, which showed the "bear" in the car... (full story at title link)

Best place for it: Did anyone else catch to the Joe Rogan podcast with John Fetterman?

That dude is a US Senator.  It's baffling.

He recovered from his stroke in a way that I just wasn't expecting. So I will admit I was at least partially wrong on that front. But he isn't fully recovered obviously, and the stroke didn't give him any superpowers that overcome the fact he was an inexperienced idealistic fool before becoming a senator.

Still, I'm struggling with the fact he is one of the few people in Washington, and especially in today's Democratic party, who is inflexible on his moral beliefs. His support for Israel has been surprising and refreshing.

Did you actually watch the interview?   You can watch Rogan thinking "WTF?!"  several times.  Fetterman spewed an endless illogical string of talking points and outright ignored both questions and facts that were presented to him.

Forward to 1:30 and listen to him sputter for 10 minutes about the border without ever actually expressing an opinion.  Rogan askes him no less than 5 times "what would you do about the border" and he never once actually assembles a coherent thought.  That guy is supposed to be guiding the process of how our policy is formed.

Yeah I listened to it. Maybe read what I wrote again? I didn't claim he was crushing it.

But it is unfamiliar and refreshing to see someone so boldly go against their party on something like Israel. That doesn't redeem him into some sort of intellectual giant. But he is surrounded by other people equally stupid. One of them just lost the election for president, and her answer on the border was indistinguishable from his.

So as far as being shocked that he's in the Senate, there's a lot of other idiots to get rid of before I worry about him.
