I enjoyed it. It's about the Russians in Afghanistan during the late 80's. Also, "The Front Line" was good as well. (2011) A Korean movie about a South Korean company during the Korean war. Wow, lots of Koreans there, sts. Both on netflix. Both good flicks, believe the Korean one is also called Tae Guk Gi as well. Cooter

Whatever you do, get the version with subtitles; the dubbed over one loses a lot of its luster.

DEVIL Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Skyfall was awesome, I wouldn't say best Bond ever because that's an absurd thing to say, but definitely worth a viewing or two. 1
Guest nsplayr Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Get an advanced screening or something? Good to hear, cause I thought the last one blew pretty hard, especially after Casino Royale was so good.

Really? I was ready to hate Daniel Craig but I thought the last two films were great. Definitely better than anything Roger Moore or Timothy Dalton (or that Lazenby guy) ever did. Looking forward to the new one and the rest of Craig's career as Bond. 1

I watched a lot of Roger Moore Bond flicks when I was a kid and thought the same thing. Then I discovered the older movies.
Guest Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Saw Flight last night. I was especially interested after watching a Charlie Rose interview with Denzel Washington and Robert Zemeckis. It exceeded my expectations which were pretty high going in. Great look at addiction issues. And some nice skin up front...gratuitous or or not.

brickhistory Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Wreck It Ralph. Good for kids, some grown-up laughs as well. Very Toy Story-like in the games of yore and a "behind the scenes" look at what goes on when the arcade closes.

Looks like they have completely disregarded the story written by Max Brooks. I don't know why they bothered spending the money on the rights to the book.

Totally disagree. I thought world war z was an excellent book. Maybe it's because I'm not a huge fan of the genre so I had exceedingly low expectations. I liked that he didn't explain the finer points, it was all personal stories. The trailer looks cool, but it also looks like a trailer for a different story. 3
Masshole Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Mark Wahlberg will be the star of Transformers 4 (2014). Get the fuck outta hya, ya rowbaht prick!

Disagree as well. Unconventional approach using personal stores was very interesting and I found the book to be very entertaining. Movie looks like it has nothing to do with the book. 1

There are only so many beers to be drank at the Bird in Hand Man, you can complain about anything. That sounds like a sweet excuse to go into town and make a bad name for Americans (or good name, since most of the Brits I've met party pretty damn hard).
Royal Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 I never knew this movie was ever in theaters, but I saw it on TV the other night...and subsequently watched it like 3 more times. Trailer is NSFW.
