Disco_Nav963 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 "Prisoners" was not bad. Pretty decent mystery plot that had me wondering until near the end. "2."
clouseau Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Brad Pitt: "World War Z" Don't bother....one of the worst movies I've seen. I just hit fast forward to get to the good parts .
Right Seat Driver Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Return to Base? . It makes "Behind Enemy Lines" look Oscar-worthy. Here's a seven-minute clip. Good popcorn movie, as long as you don't let silly things like physics get in the way of your movies. When did Michael Bay start directing movies in South Korea?
schokie Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 When did Michael Bay start directing movies in South Korea? I didn't think the Korean movie was THAT bad.
10percenttruth Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) Headed to it tonight, since I missed my chance to see Through the Never in IMAX 3D Edit: best use of 3D I've seen. Fantastic flick! Edited October 6, 2013 by 10percenttruth
Toro Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Just saw Gravity in Imax 3-D. I was absolutely floored. Incredible. 3 (only saw it 3D, not IMAX). Amazing visuals, and Sandra Bullock was good, but I don't support all the folks who have been saying she is an Oscar contender.
Swanee Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Is it more than Open Water in space with decent actors? I'm on the fence about Gravity... 1
sputnik Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I remember reading this as a kid in the 80s. Good book. Hopefully this isn't just another in a string of Hollywood turds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UNWLgY-wuo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vP0cUBi4hwE Didn't love it, but definitely liked it. Obviously had to cut the book down substantially to make a viewable movie, still seemed too short for the material it covered. Little more depth would have made a much better film IMO.
MilitaryToFinance Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Seriously? I know the story is no more real than Lord of the Rings but is it really necessary to make a Noah's ark story into a LOTR style epic? 1
HeloDude Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Seriously? I know the story is no more real than Lord of the Rings but is it really necessary to make a Noah's ark story into a LOTR style epic? Didn't they already make this movie a few years ago?
HercDude Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Seriously? I know the story is no more real than Lord of the Rings but is it really necessary to make a Noah's ark story into a LOTR style epic? Necessary? Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine? No - but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste. Is anything Hollywood does these days necessary? Reboot Spiderman 5 years after the previous sequel.....Put Eddie Murphy in a fat suit - again.....make another Fast & the Furious......Make a movie out of a board game....ruin the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen.....put a camera in front of Keanu Reeves. I say nay, but just sit back and enjoy the CGI. 2
ExBoneOSO Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Seriously? I know the story is no more real than Lord of the Rings but is it really necessary to make a Noah's ark story into a LOTR style epic? Say what you will, but who knew that Mrs. Noah was a hottie..?
Swizzle Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Spice'n it up boss. https://sportsbycolin.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Jennifer_Connelly_3.jpg 1
Catbox Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) .....make another Fast & the Furious..... I'm assuming you didn't knock on wood... https://sportsbycolin..._Connelly_3.jpg I've been on the internet for 20 years and this is the first time I've seen Jennifer Connelly in a thong? Toro Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I've been on the internet for 20 years and this is the first time I've seen Jennifer Connelly in a thong? My life has new meaning. Go see Requiem for a Dream. You'll see a hell of a lot more than that (skip to 1:30). SUPER NSFW!
WeatherManC130 Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 Go see Requiem for a Dream. You'll see a hell of a lot more than that (skip to 1:30). SUPER NSFW! What did I just watch? 2
Gravedigger Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) That's even more fucked up in Italian; I didn't think that was possible. I have always like the song from that movie: Edited December 4, 2013 by Gravedigger
B52gator Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 (edited) I don't know if this from an actual movie (or maybe the new HBO series), but either way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXV9w62P2yA Go see Requiem for a Dream. You'll see a hell of a lot more than that (skip to 1:30). SUPER NSFW! I'm all for some two-ended dildo action involving Jennifer Connely and another gal, but that's just f-ing weird. Buddy Spike Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Just RedBoxed (Red Containered? So to speak? Fuck I don't know) White House Down. Is "insultingly terrible" a phrase that's been used for it yet here? Comparatively speaking, Olympus Has Fallen is more realistic (using the term loosely) and much more like the Vince Flynn book. White House Down was just garbage on every level.
