I'm putting together a DVD for my UPT class, with our videos and stuff. Part of the project is a menu that you can click through the class roster and see a bio/assignment for everyone.

Now the proper music is essential. (I feel like I'm stuck in the final scene of High Fidelity) I need something that kinda represents the airframe/mission/assignment (location). I just need a clip of a song, 15 - 20 seconds. Can be serious/not serious. Some are easy, such as using stereotypical Hawaiian music for the C-17 to Hickam. I've already gotten a few easy ones, but need help on the others.

Here is an example (minus the name...security and all):

FAIP_example.wmv

So anyways, this is the list of my harder ones:

KC-135 Fairchild

C-17 McChord

E-8 Robbins

C-17 Charleston

F-15E

U-28 Hurlburt

UH-1 FE Warren (thinking Tree Top Flyer for this)

KC-130 Cherry Point (for our Marine)

Just figured I'd see what y'all had to say...

KC-135 Fairchild - for the life of me I wish I could remember that "old lady" song from survival...the one that kept getting faster (those who have been there will know)

C-17 McChord - hippy song or something to do with rain

E-8 Robbins- "The wheels on the bus"

C-17 Charleston -

F-15E - gotta be Top Gun related...Or coors light wingman song

U-28 Hurlburt - Mission impossible or 007

UH-1 FE Warren (thinking Tree Top Flyer for this) - Vietnam era??

KC-130 Cherry Point (for our Marine) - what about just an audio clip of marines sounding like marines...full metal jacket??

Just figured I'd see what y'all had to say...

Just thoughts...don't flame me. Besides its the beer talking

Edit: The FAIP one is perfect

KC-135 Fairchild - Any song that Yoko Ono sang. When he goes through SERE he will understand.

E-8 Robbins - Georgia On My Mind played by Ray Charles.

UH-1 FE Warren (thinking Tree Top Flyer for this) - Long Tall Sally played by Little Richard. They did it in Predator.

KC-130 Cherry Point (for our Marine) - To play off of XL's FMJ idea. Have the sound clip from the end of the movie when they're all singing The Mickey Mouse March.

Sorry, I only had ideas for those ones.

Why not let everyone pick their own song?

I would, but when I emailed everyone to find out what their new squadron is, it took over a week to get the answers. They didn't have to make a choice then, imagine how long that would take now.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I'm going to try em out today. Might post a few more examples.

Absolute GOLD for the FAIP (poor soul)

FE Warren: should be "Almost Paradise" because...it isn't

KC-130 Cherry Point (for our Marine) "I wanna take off from a carrier" Dos Gringos: (https://www.dosgringosrocks.com/home.html

C-17 Charleston: video and accompanying music of someone doing the Charleston dance

U-28 Hurlburt "Waiting is the hardest part" (both waiting to get to that "hardship" assignment and actually to get in the seat as there is a bit of a backlog)

KC-135 Fairchild "At least I'm not the SNACKO" Dos Gringos (only if the guy has a sense of humor)

Any cold assignment: "Ice, Ice baby" always gets a chuckle

Just had chills go down my spine. That's perfect...best part is he won't get it right away...but he will.

He's already been...I think her song "loneliness" was the favorite song this spring...I fck'n hate that song.

I'm digging some of the ideas everyone's had.

Used "breakdown" by Jack Johnson for my C-5 buddy...appropriate.
