I was reading about some of the Thud pilots in Vietnam having specialized "party suits" and wondered where they all went? I saw this post but I have not really seen any pilot wear one. Has the PC-Shoe influence caused the party suits to fall by the wayside? Seems like it would be a good way to show that bit of rebellion in the AOR while still maintaining that "professional" appearance.

My grandpa gave me his party suit from Vietnam. And he was an EC-121 pilot after being a C-47/C-54 pilot. I'm not sure what happened to them

There's a sizable collection in the USAF Museum at WPAFB.

My bro flies vipers....when they go to Korea they wear their party suits when they do their elbow-point on fridays or whatever day they have over there. I know they put their polyester party suits in their closets when they get back to the states because they look ridiculous. His collar was '70's to the extreme!!!!
