StoleIt Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 We will find some regs that deem it unsafe for soldiers to have open alcoholic containers on US military aircraft.
Hammer Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 from 11-2KC-135 Vol 3 5.14. Alcoholic Beverages. The MAJCOM/A3/DO may authorize the dispensing of alcoholic beverages.
JarheadBoom Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 KC-10 V3 says basically the same thing. Since I haven't seen that happen yet, even on missions where we have the Silver Bullet aboard, I'm gonna go with "Not Gonna Happen" for $100, Alex.
Guest Lockjaw25 Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 A worthy cause! But I agree, we'll never see it.
GearMonkey Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 The only time I've seen booze on the 17 was when the WWE was on board. They traveled with almost an entire pallet of beer and box-o-wine. Before they went downrange it all had to be taken off the jet so we helped them out by downloading a case or two for our hard work on the first two sorties.
pawnman Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Yet another news story that puts my time at the Deid into perspective...we bitch about 3 beers a day, these guys haven't had one in over six months. Personally, I'd rather the USAF start up a "Donations for aircraft parts" program.
