Guest pinko Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Does anybody know if we're covered for this? I'd assume that we are but can't remember signing up for it. Thanks in advance
Champ Kind Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Are you talking about getting compensated for disability if you are discharged from the service due to injuries sustained on duty?
Champ Kind Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 If only sounds could be transmitted over the board.... haha

Right- Suppose, during the 10 year commitment, I was injured in a way that I couldn't keep flying as a career with the AF... are we automatically covered for this? I realize I'd have bigger things to worry about rather than money if this happend, but I was just curious.
mmkk111 Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 It depends on the injury. If it is something that the board (or whoever looks at your condition) thinks should be compensated for, you will receive a payment for it. Now, if it won't let you fly, but isn't considered a disability, I'm not sure what would come out of that? My wife gets some coin for acid reflux. Since it was stress induced due to her job, they give her money. She hurt her back pretty good doing augmentee duty, and they wouldn't give her anything for that… go figure. MK
