Learjetter Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Doesn't matter. There are NO future four stars without one. 1

Tnkr Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I wonder who the four star is without a Masters? General Tso, but he does have a certificate from Le Cordon Blue. 1
Cell Dweller Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Were those degrees actually pertinent to his career field as an engineer, and did what he learned in those programs make the AF and/or his community better? If so, I've got no beef. ONE masters that relates to your job is a good thing. Three gratis masters degrees, and what is basically have of one's career spent exclusively in school, is a joke.
WABoom Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I'm just an E but don't officers receive a Master of Strategic Studies from the AWC?
Bobby Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I'm just an E but don't officers receive a Master of Strategic Studies from the AWC? Aaah, but there's the rub. To get sent to AWC you will undoubtedly need a Master's degree to make the cut. 3
lossofclocklossofdata Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Wish there was a definitive answer as to whether or not AAD will be masked for 2005 yr group Major’s board in Dec. This may sound lazy, but I started mine back in 2008 and have one class to go, but it’s a real SOB class that I’d rather not take. Degree won’t do anything for civilian employment. I’m a prime example of checking the box on this one and even though I’m so close, I just don’t care enough anymore.
HossHarris Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Just write the damn thesis paper and be done with it mary 3
busdriver Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 Degree won’t do anything for civilian employment. If you're talking airliner, sure. If you plan to make silly money in the defense industry than it absolutely will.
lossofclocklossofdata Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 If you're talking airliner, sure. If you plan to make silly money in the defense industry than it absolutely will. I'm talking Theology.
busdriver Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 I'm talking Theology. Wait, that's an option? So you're telling me that God/Allah/FSM isn't interested a Master's degree? I don't buy it, clearly you're trolling. 2
Chuck17 Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 So you're telling me that God/Allah/FSM isn't interested a Master's degree? I don't buy it, clearly you're trolling. I heart this post. Chuck
lossofclocklossofdata Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Wait, that's an option? So you're telling me that God/Allah/FSM isn't interested a Master's degree? I don't buy it, clearly you're trolling. Slow down. Theology is the degree, not the civilian sector. Thus, why it doesn't do much for your typical transitioning military jobs. And what/who is FSM?
nsplayr Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) And what/who is FSM? May His noodly appendage touch your life my friend. Edited March 17, 2014 by nsplayr 4
Azimuth Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 Leave it to a Nav to post a picture with some dude's junk in it. 2
GKinnear Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 And what/who is FSM? Obviously you went to a third-rate interwebz diploma mill if you don't know about Pastafarians Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
brabus Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Word on the street is Welsh was behind getting the "Home of the Fighter Pilot" sign back where it belongs. It's refreshing among all the bullshit I can't even begin to imagine he wades through on a daily basis, he still fixes "small" stuff like this that really has a lot of impact behind it. Hopefully another Skelator doesn't come along and ruin it all over again.

Danny Noonin Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 I'd prefer if he spent his time unfucking VSP, TERA, RIF, and the nuclear enterprise. Fucking stop it. This guy can't win. For years dudes have bitched about all of the little paper cut stuff in the AF...including this sign, t-shirts, patches, masters, PME. Well guess what? We have a CSAF who is actually fixing a lot of those irritants. And every time he fixes one, someone like you bitches "well, he shoulda done X, Y, or Z instead." Do you think he cancelled an afternoon of meetings about force shaping to hammer in the sign himself? Or do you think he may simply have mentioned it to someone and it got fixed? Everything isn't an either-or! For fucks sake. The man is trying. Some things are easy fixes. Some are complicated beyond measure. If you can't get behind him, sts, who will you follow? 33
Herk Driver Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 3 It sounds like the more things he fixes or tries to fix, the more people wish they had Gen Schwartz back. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

Somewhat fair, but how about a blurb? A word from CSAF in a public forum that he is working on these? Maybe fire a few people. Maybe publicly direct AFPC to stop breaking fucking deadlines. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we've eliminated blues Monday, we have morale patches and t-shirts back, and that he's making some attempts to make the USAF fun again. However, there are some big rocks out there, and while I get they'll take some time to move, some candor from the top about what he's tried, what the obstacles are, and what we can do to help would be nice. 1 1
