uhhello Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Wild. They butt fuck the entire F-35 system to get the B model fielded and then end up backing off it in the end. 1 1

Clark Griswold Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I wish they could back off completely but some Allies are committed to that model so that shit sandwich is going to get eaten no matter what Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
di1630 Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Yup, I see both sides. Just my opinion but I’d buy domestic if I were them - Local industrial base, you’ll need that for the upcoming GCAP- EF is already good and getting improvements - You have F-35B in the RN and LO capabilities there if you need it- Shit is in flux with the USA & Europe, have your own stuffSent from my iPhone using TapatalkA bit late but: EF is not a good aircraft by modern standards. More expensive than a F-35 by about $30M with the ~capes of a block 40 F-16 in most regards with its mech scan radar and outdated computer. Lots of capability gap depending on the tranche and country flying it. Great BFM machine as it was designed in the 80’s and that’s about its only redeeming quality. There’s a reason only the Arab states are buying it. Sustainment is costly due to the economy of scale. It’s a jobs program, that’s the best thing about it.Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
