Vertigo Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 “It was not torture, or cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment of detainees that got us the major leads that ultimately enabled our intelligence community to find Osama bin Laden,” McCain said in a stirring 22-minute speech from the Senate floor. “I do not believe they are necessary to our success in our war against terrorists, as the advocates of these techniques claim they are,” he said. McCain directly criticized former Attorney General Michael Mukasey for publicly suggesting recently that waterboarding of alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed led investigators to the courier who ferried information to and from bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan. Mukasey has said Mohammed “broke like a dam” during the 183 waterboardings performed on him. “That is false,” McCain said, citing a report from CIA director Leon Panetta who said the courier’s identity was obtained elsewhere. Waterboarding KSM “actually produced false and misleading information,” McCain said, explaining that Mohammed’s information on the courier was ultimately proven incorrect. SuperWSO Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I completely agree. words words words... If you add a second task then your focus is now on two things, thus you have diverted your full attention on the first thing and have become distracted by the second task. Walk and chew bubblegum? Is that an EP for you? I've seen students who didn't multi-task well, but I think it is safe to say that the head of the US govt gets help making more than one thing happen at a time.
StoleIt Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Maybe not... I still put that in the WIN category. And perhaps the rounds were accidently dropped in pigs blood...not that I would condone that "evil" action since it would be cruel and totally against everything America stands for...but here is to wishful thinking...
Noodle Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 The Navy SEAL that killed Bin Laden Man I've watched that video ten times its still funny!
Smokin Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Maybe not... Holy old link batman. Based on the 6.9 foot stack of .223 ammo on sale at Cabela's, I would guess that US makers have caught up to demand and then some. However, point taken in regard to the implied (or at least inferred) reference to the Israel ally topic.

JeepGuyC17 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Absolutely amazing. "Nine years, seven months, and twenty days after September 11th, an American was a trigger pull from ending bin Laden’s life. The first round, a 5.56-mm. bullet, struck bin Laden in the chest. As he fell backward, the SEAL fired a second round into his head, just above his left eye. On his radio, he reported, “For God and country—Geronimo, Geronimo, Geronimo.” After a pause, he added, “Geronimo E.K.I.A.”—“enemy killed in action.”
Hercster Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Great story! On the other hand, isn't it very specific, almost to the point of being harmful to future ops?
