KennyB Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I guess when you're Trump, it really doesn't matter if you're adding gold plated weight to the airplane. I realize he doesn't give a shit about the fuel economy, but I would think the range would be affected, which might limit his business trips. So... 80k of fuel for 10 hours, figure his pilots wants to land with no less than 10k (and that's probably way too low)... 7k an hour average with only 2 engines? Am I doing my math wrong to think she's a pig?
ThreeHoler Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 CF6 burns ~5k an hour whether you have three like the KC-10, two like the A300/310/330 or B767, or four like the B747. The RB211 engines have similar cruise fuel burn.
B*D*A Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 The way she pronounced "La Guardia Airport" made me want to stick a hot butter knife in both my ears.
Guest Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 The way she pronounced "La Guardia Airport" made me want to stick a hot butter knife in both my ears. It is properly pronounced "Lagarbage" airport.
Hammer Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I think my 14 year old cousin who has been held back in school three times wrote that article.
Marco Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Saw it today when I flew into La Guardia. I agree with Rainman on his pronunciation.
amcflyboy Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I can fly this one... Ok, jealous...at the property...and the plane ports...and the pool. At least he's a G.A. supporter!
StoleIt Posted July 10, 2011 Author Posted July 10, 2011 Apparently someone doesn't love the 707. -1? eh.
StoleIt Posted July 12, 2011 Author Posted July 12, 2011 It might not be a jet but... It is Angelina Jolie... 1 1
Napoleon_Tanerite Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Did anyone else catch the price tag she quoted? $100m seems a bit low for a decked out brand new 757, but then again I haven't been plane shopping lately. If asked to guess what that airplane cost as shown I would guess more in the $300m range, but again, my experience is limited.
