Submitted DTS voucher. Hotel receipt should have been placed under substantiated documents instead of expense receipts. Voucher is corrected in 3 mins and signed by me. SSgt nuts who deals with DTS goes home and this was around 1330. Really? Are DTS reps not allowed to simply move a document?

This is one of my bigger complaints with DTS.  Also why can't they pull back rejected vouchers?  I had one rejected because the finance chick saw that my orders were from another squadron (I was on alert order with another squadron) and just assumed I uploaded the wrong orders.  I just said I guess I'll resubmit it in a month when I finish airline training.  I guess our base didn't get their kick back from citibank that month.

I returned from TDY Sunday night. Submitted the voucher Monday morning. Was paid Tuesday morning.

Of course I’ve had the odd voucher that didn’t nicely fit the mission that took a couple days to figure out. But generally I get paid on time just fine.

Returned last Friday morning (19 April) from TDY  Submitted voucher from home on Friday (19 April) around 1300. Reviewed Monday by RM office. I email AO Wednesday to review. He kicks it back on Friday, April 26. I resubmit within a few mins the changes he requested and then the original "Reviewer" kicked it back a few minutes later. I called her and my hotel receipt needed to be moved under substantiated documents and removed as an expense. Completed changes in 3 mins and resubmitted around 1230. Chances are the Reviewer in the RM office bailed on a Friday because things went radio silent after. We have an RM office with 2 E's that deals with DTS for every squadron in the Group.

Maybe you got paid because you have O's running DTS opposed to E's who bolt after lunch. Some E's do things at lightning snail speeds I've noticed.

If you have Es bolting after lunch your problems are greater than DTS

Somewhere, there is an O who should be supervising his/her Es. Let’s make sure the root cause analysis doesn’t stop at the wrong level.

I am 100% for certain the Resource Management (RM) office is run by E's. No O's in sight the few times I have visited the office.

Reminds me a certain SARM office that had those types of business hours. Guess who put an end to SARM group PT and their weekly group breakfast. The whole office would be gone for breakfast. The CC, SS, and CCF all backed me up.

Sounds like you need to do it again

Cyber is all in now.  Which means you can roll of a ops unit, taking the fight to the enemy

and doing cool things.

And roll into command a communications cyber squadron at Tinker fixing email and cell phones.

Thanks Cyber. Now I can't pay my water bill. How is this going to cripple China though?

I will I could tell you it's BS, but we have significant structural problems and multiple outstanding TCTOs.

I think my Google feed algorithm gets a little fake news at times.

In the mid 90s, the USAF decided the B-1 was too hard to maintain and gave them to 2 ANG units. They were embarrassed that the Guard brought the MC rate way up. On Sept 10,  2001, they announced that McConnell would get KC-135s (they went away 5 years later) and Robbins moves over to help with JSTARS. The attacks on the US the next day didn’t change any minds- we retired 30 jet with the stated goal of using the savings for upgrades on the remaining jets.

The B-1 is an extremely capable jet that was never resourced or maintained adequately. So now we will retire them to buy a new, complex bomber that will get the same half assed support going forward. Great plan Air Force

Shouldn't have been that big of a surprise.  Our (ANG) mx force is ridiculously experienced and skilled.

The 0-6 acting air boss (C-5 Wing queen) at JFE for the WIC...first thing she mentions to the soon to be WIC grads is how she doesn’t like the grooming standards (referring to the moustsches). No wonder the CAF doesn’t think highly of the MAF.

That a C-5 person of any rank is tied to JFE definitely belongs in this thread.

All MAF is not equal, nor representative... just like the CAF.

This is not at all surprising. I’m sure she had her Command Chief right there beside her.

Timeless Tips for Simple Sabotage from 1944. A lot of this is eerily familiar. Additional nuggets on page 28 of the PDF.

  1. General Interference with Organizations and Production

    1. Organizations and Conferences

      1. Insist on doing everything through "channels." Never permit short-cuts to be taken in order to expedite decisions.

      2. Make "speeches," Talk as frequently as possible and at great length., Illustrate your "points" by long anecdotes and accounts of personal experiences. Never hesitate to make a few appropriate “patriotic" comments.

      3. When possible, refer all matters to committees, for "further study and consideration." Attempt to make the committees as large as possible - never less than five.

      4. Bring up irrelevant issues as frequently as possible.

      5. Haggle over precise wordings of communications, minutes, resolutions.

      6. Refer back to matters decided upon at the last meeting and attempt to re-open the question of the advisability of that decision.

      7. Advocate "caution." Be “reasonable" and urge your fellow-conferees to be "reasonable" and avoid haste which might result in embarrassments or difficulties later on.

      8. Be worried about the propriety of any decision - raise the question of whether such action as is contemplated lies within the jurisdiction of the group or whether it might conflict with the policy of some higher echelon.
