PapaJu Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Whatever, he looks like a character from "Spaceballs." Can't take him seriously.

SurelySerious Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 F it, let Europe defend itself. That worked well in 1914 and 1939.
brickhistory Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Helluva negotiating tactic: do it our way or we will attack you. So, the U.S. either caves or goes to war potentially? (I don't think this, but that's the obvious inference.) So much for that vaunted "reset." Separate but related, their comments that they thought they could "work" with Obama following his re-election and had "concerns" about Romney isn't exactly the kind of endorsement I'd want if I voted for the same guy to stay.
BolterKing Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 That worked well in 1914 and 1939. They were fighting amongst themsevles... not defending the continent from the asian invaders. Not arguing the merits of ending genocide, but other wise, they can defend themselves. Look at defense spending as a percentage of GDP around the EU, know why it's so low? We foot the f'ing bill and provide all the man power. Why? They've been able to build their socialist EU utopia under the umbrella we've provided. They can defend it on their own. 1
