New BAH rates are out.

FWIW BAH is based on home zip code for long-term MQ-9 title 10 MPA orders. Not sure why or how, but it’s another situation where it’s home vs. base zip that matters.

That’s in direct contradiction to what Sua posted. Now that I’ve read that, I’d go ask finance to prove in writing why fill-in-the-blank type of orders BAH location is contradictory to those official sources. Maybe they have some exemption somewhere, but I’d at least want eyes on. Too many times I’ve seen Finance, TMO, etc. be confidently wrong.

Now, I know this will be a complete shock to you, but I could not get anyone in finance to answer their phones today.  Since I'm on alert, I just couldn't work up the energy to wander the 500 feet across base to ask LOL.  I'll reattack tomorrow.

Update: Ho Lee Fuk, the matrix is broken man.

So now that the calculator is up my home zip code (where you get BAH for as a DSG guardsman) up $399 from 2024 🥳

BAH now pays literally $600 more where I live (suburb of a bigger city, and not even the nicest one) compared to the city itself where my base is located. Having lived in both places, housing is absolutely cheaper where I am now. My home zip also changed MHA codes from last year to this year 🤷‍♂️

I would love to see the formula here because it is extremely whack…bank error in my favor I guess! I reiterate that champagne and pizza will be available for all the homies.
