TAMInated Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Hearing rumors from semi-reliable sources that ACC is going to pay for 4 hours a month at the aero club. Guess AFSOC guys will have to continue to let knowing that they're "doing a great job, we're proud of you, what you're doing is important, you are all future cols and gens, etc" be their reason for carrying on. Anyone want to set the point for over/under on number of crashes per year as well as the point for date of the first crash? 1
theat6bisasham Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 What aeroclub? I thought they closed most of them....

Boxhead Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Not sure, but boy I would love it, as I used to sing and dance that idea while I was in AFSOC and I still do now that I am ACC. There would be no better morale builder than that simple little thing. Not so much an "ACE" program...as that requires the USAF to own, maintain, train, evaluate, have a cadre, ect.....if they simply have a checkbook that just pays for a few hours a month at whatever FBO you want to use it at...now that is a cheap, hands off and highly effective morale boost. I am willing to be it would be even cheaper than the numbers would show, as I bet not everyone that can use it, would use it.

Everyone knows 'Tops In Blue' is the only effective use of our funds for promoting morale. But seriously....that makes so much sense financially and for morale that it won't ever be considered. 1
