Darth Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Her marraige is addressed for the first time ever... Reading that article made me feel like this: 1
LockheedFix Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Interesting article, except for this paragraph... This is just irritating to me for some reason. Standard liberal logic. Killing a baby and a terrorist are the same thing. Except killing babies is okay and "murdering" terrorists is not. Also, she called the A-10 a bomber. 3
BattleRattle Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 She's on Greta Van Susteren's "On The Record" right now... same old shit...
HeloDude Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 She's on Greta Van Susteren's "On The Record" right now... same old shit... Standard--shitty politicians on both sides (as well as shitty-wannabe politicians).
dream big Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 She's on Greta Van Susteren's "On The Record" right now... same old shit... She said warrior
BattleRattle Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 She almost has me convinced that she believes the crap that comes out of her mouth (STS).
Spinner Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 She almost has me convinced that she believes the crap that comes out of her mouth (STS). No STS needed, it is actually crap that comes out of her mouth.
rancormac Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Heard her local Tucson radio ad a few times the other day. "I'm Martha McSally and Ive been in the Air Force for 26 years as a Fighter Pilot, and retired as a Colonel..." bla bla bla The inflections in her voice during those words were totally obvious
Cell Dweller Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Early returns have her down (sts) narrowly.
BattleRattle Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Looks like she is slightly ahead now (105,754 to 104,362)...
BattleRattle Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Has Barber conceded? I don't know anything about Arizona election law--with a vote that close, does an automatic recount begin?
Darth Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 From https://ballotpedia.o...laws_in_Arizona Arizona recount procedures An automatic recount is required when the margin between the two candidates with the greatest number of votes for a particular office is either less than 0.1% of votes cast or does not exceed 200 votes for statewide offices or 50 votes for offices in the state legislature. [1] When the canvass shows a recount is required for a statewide office or a congressional race, the Secretary of State certifies the facts requiring the recount to thesuperior court in Maricopa County. [2] The court enters an order requiring a recount in accord with state requirements regarding election vote counting. [3] Where the vote was conducted on electronic voting equipment, the recount is conducted on an automatic tabulating system furnished and programmed by the Secretary of State. § 16-664. The results are presented to the court and the court announces the results and enters an order describing its determination. [4] The state or county pays the costs of the recount.[5] Recount requests are not permitted. Barrera v. Superior Court, 117 Ariz. 528, 573 P.2d 928 (App. Div.2 1977). So given the numbers at the moment: yes.
Jughead Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 An automatic recount is required when the margin between the two candidates with the greatest number of votes for a particular office is either less than 0.1% of votes cast or does not exceed 200 votes for statewide offices So given the numbers at the moment: yes. Um.... 105485 - 105099 = 386; 386 > 200 105485 + 105099 = 210584; 210584 x .1% = 211; 386 > 211 Unless there are an update to the numbers, the info you posted seems to say there is NOT cause for a recount....
Darth Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Um.... 105485 - 105099 = 386; 386 > 200 105485 + 105099 = 210584; 210584 x .1% = 211; 386 > 211 Unless there are an update to the numbers, the info you posted seems to say there is NOT cause for a recount.... You are correct. The 386 difference is .182433454%. No recount required. Although feel free to check my math again.
M2 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Ballots still being counted... McSally 'optimistic' in race with Barber as vote count continues ***WARNING*** That link contains pics of the candidates! You've been warned! Unofficial results from the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office showed McSally on Wednesday maintaining a lead of 1,312 votes, or less than 1 percent, over Barber in District 2, which includes Tucson and all of Cochise County. Harvie argued that provisional ballots cast on Election Day and ballots in Republican-leaning Cochise County would put McSally over the top. McSally clearly won Election Day votes, while Barber led strongly in early ballots. But Pima County had more than 80,000 ballots left to tally countywide, with about half being early ballots and half provisional ballots that would need to be verified by election officials. It was not immediately clear how many ballots remained uncounted in Cochise County.
BattleRattle Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Just the thought of 'Congresswoman McSally' scares me...
rancormac Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Just the thought of 'Congresswoman McSally' scares me... You're better off doing an image google search on 'McFlapps'
stract Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 you would think the early votes would have been counted well before now.
Butters Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 you would think the early votes would have been counted well before now. Nope! Early votes are only counted when the race is close. They are collected and stored, not counted as they come in.
