Hey guys,

I'm in my second year at college and though I could start AFROTC in Sept, I'm leaning more towards the Guard / Reserve side... I just have a couple questions... I know that the guard usually have 1-2 slots available per fiscal year... Is the reserves the same? How many people usually apply for slots within the unit (average I guess) I live near the McGuire Base so I'll be applying to the Refueling Unit in that particular base...

I'm not sure if I should go guard or reserves... Any suggestions?

Simple answer: every unit is drastically different.

I know that's not the answer you were looking for.......

But it's true, no matter how many people ask.

But what if the asker is "highly considering" a unit...does that change the answer?
