Does anyone have an Excel version of an amortization schedule? I seem to have misplaced the one I used in my days of collegiate glory. Thanks in advance.

Check your PM. I attached a file but it doesn't look like the attachment went. Let me know and I'll resend if you didn't get it.

Amortization schedule is very broad.

Are you specifically looking for a home mortgage shcedule?

Though it was oh so tempting to download every item the interweb had to offer, I wanted a file that at least one person on here has already used and has vetted for.

Thanks, Herk. Check your inbox.

Yup, I should've said that; I'm running some numbers on home financing.

It's pretty easy to make your own in excel using the financial functions

PV = Present Value

FV = Future Value

PMT = payment installations

Interest per payment can be calculated by (Remaining Principal) * (Annual Interest Rate) / (# of payments per year)

Then take monthly payment, subtract interest above, and the rest subtracts from principal.

Repeat until principal is $0

I would need those instructions in a Powerpoint.

That's probably beyond what my work ethic would allow in my limited free time; I'll start fidgeting around with the financial functions, though.

I am making one right now.

I can make you one if you want. PM me if interested. Im assuming basic loan? Fixed APR, monthly payments, and you just want to see the breakdown of payments each month?

If you send me all the #s you got, I can do it real quick

No worries, dude. Herk sent me exactly what I needed. I appreciate it though.
