Guest Dwiff Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 This has been troubling me for some time now looking back on this board for almost two years now. What happens if you do not like beer and want to fly for the AF? I know, sounds like blasphemy but is this something I'll just have to suck up? I'm trying to picture ordering a Bacardi when everyone is drinking draft.
Guest sleepy Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Cut yourself with a razor and REPENT! Make yourself CLEAN!!!

Champ Kind Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I say just keep drinking beer until your body becomes to depend on it, then the taste won't matter after that.
Fishnucc Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 lol Phlash.... I can tell your a Norwich Grad [ 01. March 2006, 18:52: Message edited by: Fishnucc ]
Smokin Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Dude, order bacardi when you're out with the guys and you'll regret it. Just get jack and cokes (or just jack) and i bet no one will blink twice.
Champ Kind Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Originally posted by Fishnucc: lol Phlash.... I can tell your a Norwich Grad Is it still a "dry" institution?
Toro Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I'd take a Bacardi and coke over a $hitty draft beer any day. Seriously, it doesn't matter. You don't even need to drink alcohol to 'fit in' - if you're taking shots of water or chugging a Pepsi in the corner, then you're probably the designated driver...and AOK in my book.
Scooter14 Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 "History tells us Captain Morgan favoured a spicey life and a glass of his favorite rum. Born to wealthy Welsh parents, Captain Morgan left the comfortable life for one that proved much more satisfying, that of a buccaneer on the Spanish Main. His feats were many, his exploits many, and his thirst legendary" I'll sail with the Captain any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.
Guest Dwiff Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Lots of wisdom here, I'll have to take time to reflect.
Ram Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 ...or maybe be known for drinking nothing but Apple Martinis. But seriously: I care much more about how well you fly than how well you drink. If you can do both well, then good for you. If you'd rather have a coke and a smile instead of a beer, you'll be the one I'm calling at 2AM to drive me home...so...again, good for you. There are bigger things to worry about in this great big world of ours...
HerkDerka Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 You can NEVER go wrong with a Jack N Coke. NEVER. HD
Toro Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 You shouldn't have to explain what you're drinking. But if you feel like explaining why you drink beer, this might help.
Guest johnny130 Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Dude, What are you thinking? RUM? heck no!! Just go a head and drink some cat piss. If you don't like beer I would start with Johnny Walker Black Lable. If you drink less than half bottle the hangover is nill. Have it on the rocks. It can "F" you up fast if not carefull.
Guest Navtastic Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I don't like beer. The fact that I'm an excellent (designated) driver is usually appreciated. However, about once every six weeks or so, I make damn sure somebody returns the favor. ...and I'm a chick. I don't have to like beer.
Guest Hydro130 Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Wicked cool to pony up as the DD... And, you'll likely have the better night :D Drink, no drink... it's not any kind of deal-breaker...
