Learjetter Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 KI Sawyer. Now, K I fucking O already.
Steve Davies Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Actually, you should have capitalized the L, O and C as well. So you were extra wrong. Not necessarily. Articles and determiners should not be capitalised when creating an acronym. G-LOC should therefore be written G-LoC. While the former appears to be the generally accepted way of writing it, it's incorrect from a prescriptive grammarian's perspective. I therefore submit to you that BQZip was not extra wrong, but only 2/3rds extra wrong. 1
Danny Noonin Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I concede to the gentleman from Great Britain and waive my right to a rebuttal.
Guest Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 The USAF standard, while perhaps making grammarians cringe, is well known. He is 100% wrong. https://www.e-publishing.af.mil/shared/media/epubs/AFPAM11-419.pdf
BQZip01 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Standard beating of a dead horse: Rainman's technique:
TreeA10 Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Good technique. Bullets impacting the target and it might or might not be a kill. Bullets impacting target, it catches fire, and turret comes off, you have yourself a kill. If 50 rounds are good, 100 must be better.
