Lt. Col. Hauben deployed numerous times in support of operations in several areas of responsibility including Iraq and Afghanistan. Lt. Col. Hauben was a senior pilot with more than 2,500 hours in numerous light, medium, and heavy fixed-wing aircraft. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross with Valor for actions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as the Defense Meritorious Service medal, Air medal and Aerial Achievement medal, among others.
