noxnatio Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Showed up to work today (upt base) and they were having dudes take any patches off the walls that could be considered offensive. A lot of the decorated ceiling tiles were being taken down as well.
discus Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Commander came into the office unannounced. Asked to see the desktop background on my computer, looked around the office and moved on. Had a very Stalin-esque purge kinda feel to it.
Jaded Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 This is all worth it though, since these actions will stop all those sexual assaults, right?
disgruntledemployee Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Oh shit. You could always go back to "Lefty."
Techsan Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I really hope the Squadron Bar Daily Pic & Video thread doesn't get inserted into her report as more evidence of sex-crazed fighter pilots. I'm just glad I'm a heavy pilot, where we celebrate women. 1
Spoo Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 You could always go back to "Lefty." I could, but I'm pretty sure self-designation is for dipshits.
Napoleon_Tanerite Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 So how much longer until this thread needs to be merged into the WTF thread?
Guest Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 ...including a couple dudes getting housed by other dudes. I did not know Dos Gringos could cause THAT kind of behavior. Use caution. Also, I find it extremely bizarre that two dudes with the last name 'Welsh' were both assaulted by males during visits to their homes, after being given alcohol, and both got HIV as a result. Yeah, I forgot to call out the Anally Injected Death Sentence (AIDS) part.
HuggyU2 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 ... the Anally Injected Death Sentence (AIDS) part. What?? I thought it was Aviation Induced Divorce Syndrome. That's the disease I've been fighting.
Smokin Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 The thing that pisses me off the most is that she is going after fighter pilots for creating a hostile work environment but didn't go after guys who sexually assaulted her. Her failure to report and prosecute the sexual assault downrange likely caused other sexual assaults. When that guy realized he got away with sexual assault, how many people really think he became a model soldier after that? If (probably not even an if) that guy sexually assaulted another woman later, this chick is indirectly responsible because she may have been able to put him in jail where trash like that belong. She allowed an environment that basically encouraged sexual assault by not reporting it but drew the line at hearing there might be porn in the vault? 1

I'll line up any day of the week to get first punch on the guys who sexually assaulted her. I'm certain any dude I have flown with/against or shared a squadron with would do the same. Even if it happened in the middle of song. But the fact that she didn't, AND STILL HASN'T, gone after the dumb fricks who sexually assaulted her, that makes me mad. She has a responsibility. And it isn't to try and lock up every dude in the Air Force. It's to take down the actual predators and protect her fellow female service members. 2

dream big Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 This is all worth it though, since these actions will stop all those sexual assaults, right? Nah, but hey some rising general needs a new OPR bullet for preventing sexual assault.
Majestik Møøse Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 It's already in the desert. "Get rid of any offensive materials" was briefed to my crew as we stepped this morning. Hopefully this doesn't include our dorm room walls. 1
BattleRattle Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 No more porn to convince my stan/eval guy to give me a Q-1? Anyone have the number to that truck driving school?
Guest Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 No more porn to convince my stan/eval guy to give me a Q-1? Did you have orientation appropriate porn?

Blue Scourge Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Good times... I was told I had to take my bottle of Jack (that was given to me by a great friend and colleague) and my Squadron mug home today. The logic was that because we have one person in the shop that is under 21 I can't have that around...apparently it may cause him to break into my office and drink it. Just like all of the "questionable" materiel will cause people to sexually assault each other.
pawnman Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I'm curious what will happen next it, once these purges are complete, sexual assaults spike instead of declining.
