M2 Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Interesting time killer...this guy hikes out to old aircraft crash sites and looks for wreckage... Joe Idoni's Aircraft Crash Sites Galleries Cheers! M2
jcj Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Here is a similar site for Oklahoma & Arkansas - a few less crash sites but at a glance I didn't see any duplicates. https://okwreckchasing.org/crashsites.html
polcat Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Similar topic. Here's some pretty cool night photos of aircraft in a boneyard: https://lostamerica.com/photo-items/aviation-warehouse/
Napoleon_Tanerite Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Not the link I thought I was going to see. I ran across an article a few weeks ago about a guy who hikes around Asia, in particular the Himalayas finding previously lost crash sites. If he finds remains he contacts JPRC. Always good to hear of a fellow aviator getting to come home, even if it is a bit late. epsilon Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Very cool. I think this would be a great way to get outside and hike.
