Looks like they forget to check the refueling method earlier. Now there is a problem.

Maybe they'll subcontract the refueling to the USAF.

It has been a known problem for years. They should have bought the Navy version.

Plenty of retired KC-135E's, 3 have been sold to Chili. More affordable than the KC-330 and more proven too.

Yeap, that's a drogue basket/iron maiden.

On MPRS jets the soft basket will retract all the way into the pod.

Given the history of their military acquisition system they'll jump back in in three years at double the price.

Yup, assuming the program is truly TBTF and will be continued if sequestration kicks in. Suprised they didn't go with Rafale or Typhoon since they have traditionally wanted two engines (and half the cost) when you are way out over the great white north but to each his own...

So you're saying you guys typically have threshold requirements for training purposes vs wanting two engines in combat? Really? Simmer down Clark.
