Mine didn't, guess I got screwed for not being on the flight line

I'll recheck tomorrow, but pretty confident my AO's (and flight pay) started the first official day of UPT. Where's a 1CO when you need one.

Mine also started the first day of UPT but I wouldn't be surprised to hear different bases started them at different times. Shocking.

Confirmed--Aviation Service Date is the same day I started UPT.

Not to derail, but how does this work for Nav-2-Pilot types?

Flight pay based on years aviation service so whenever you started Nav training. Wings are based on when you got your pilot wings, not your nav wings. Same reference as above.

Yes, you get three months "free" after your last flight.

If you fly in the fourth month you will be fine. If you do not fly in the fourth month but fly in the fifth month, you will lose one gate month (the fourth).

IIRC, you have to fly by the middle of the fourth month in this case.

AO normally gets cut when you have a chamber date and a valid physical so normally the first day of UPT/UNT.
