Snooter Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Wanted to throw some kudos to Chick-Fil-A in St Louis. I can't get on facebook from this cave to get the link. After Cyr's memorial friends and family made a push to his favorite restaurant off base for some food and good stories. Chick-Fil-A was notified in advance of the crowd for the next day, they closed the resturaunt to the public and their headquarters covered the costs of everyone's meal. Maybe this link will work... https://www.facebook.com/ksdktv/posts/10200403876231773 8

discus Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 It was a real honor to be able to do the flyover for SSgt Fannin's funeral on Monday. RIP, brother!
KState_Poke22 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) Huge thanks for the guys at Travis! They hooked up our squadron with Space A to go to Hawaii for Capt Nishizukas funeral. I know it meant a lot for the 427th and I'm sure it meant a lot to his family to know how much he meant to his squadron. Also, SSgt Dickson was greeted with the honor he deserves when he arrived at Beale last week. He had a line of airmen saluting him and his family from the flight line out to the gate when he arrived home. Them them! Edited May 16, 2013 by KState_Poke22

Yes,... pretty impressive to see a line of people a couple of miles long on base,... all saluting his convoy. Too bad most of America doesn't see this. I hope I never see it again, though. Whitman Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 What's the AFSAS number? I can't find anything searching Class A and "C-12".

TLAR Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 (edited) https://www.airforcetimes.com/article/20131025/NEWS/310250017/Stall-unrecoverable-spin-brought-down-MC-12-in-April TERRIBLE article. Was the actual report itself released publicly? Pay little attention to this article, it's missing key facts, and the headline isn't really correct. Edited October 29, 2013 by TLAR 1
nsplayr Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 (edited) From the official ACC press release, very similar language to the article above. According to the results of the investigation, the cause of the mishap was a stall due to insufficient airspeed, while in a climbing left turn, which developed into a left spin followed quickly by a left spiral, from which the crew was unable to recover. The MC-12 crew was in a routine, left-turn orbit when they encountered exceedingly cloudy conditions that impeded visibility and masked the horizon. The crew attempted to climb to an altitude where visibility would improve when the stall occurred. Edited October 29, 2013 by nsplayr
Seriously Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 https://www.airforcetimes.com/article/20131025/NEWS/310250017/Stall-unrecoverable-spin-brought-down-MC-12-in-April I guess the Air Force Times was using the 10% truth rule to write this article.
ThreeHoler Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Or the AIB and SIB findings were different.
10percenttruth Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 I guess the Air Force Times was using the 10% truth rule to write this article. What's wrong with that? In all seriousness though, maybe my reading comprehension level is dogshit, but that mates up fairly close to the report I read. 2
